Operation Iron Wall: West Bank areas 'turning into mini-Gaza' as Israeli troops bulldoze homes
Sky News ^ | Feb 23 | Sky News

Posted on 02/23/2025 8:11:59 PM PST by RandFan

A bulldozer tears huge chunks out of buildings in an emptied-out Palestinian neighbourhood.

It is not clearing rubble, this is a demolition project - methodical and devastating.

Nominally, Iron Wall is about rooting out militant groups, to stop another 7 October attack from originating in the restive refugee camps of Jenin or Tulkarm.

Politically it meets demands by the extreme far right in Benjamin Netanyahu's government who want a return to war in Gaza.

That is why it was launched just days after the Gaza ceasefire was agreed. According to the UN, 40,000 people have already been displaced.

...

Donald Trump has said he will make "a decision" on the West Bank soon - after he was asked whether he believed Israel should annex the occupied area.

I'm not sure levelling the West Bank is a great idea. It's home to over 3 million Palestinians.

Israel needs to please show some restraint.

Hopefully Donald Trump will do something but I fear not

I believe the Egyptian army is massed along the border to prevent the Palestinians for moving into Egypt not to start a war with Israel. If the people started trying to migrate to Egypt I believe they would kill them.

Nobody gives a fu$k about Palestinians, not even their own peoples! No such thing as Palestine anyway.
It was always Israel or Jordan.
I’d load them up and deliver then to the Persians.
Persians seemed to like them as “tools”
I’d be curious how much the Persians like their fellow
Moslems.

West Bank is under occupation by Palestinians. It is not their home.

No Arab or mideast country wants them.

Biblically, their “home” might be Jordan, but they do not want them. They are nasty people, ‘Do not play well with others’.

The Palestinians CHEERED the bodies of the murdered Israeli babies.

Why should Israel "show restraint"? For what? Did the satanic Palestinian subhumans show any restraint? They murdered babies, including the Bibas babies. They raped and brutalized women, even shooting them in their vagina. They brutalized and killed elderly people. And then they made videos celebrating their depravity. Even when they returned the now-dead Bibas babies, they made a whole public production of it.

Show restraint? Absolutely NOT. Exterminate the remaining human filth called Palestinians and throw their bodies to pigs or the vicious sharks in that area.

There’s no such thing as a Palestinian. And Judea-Samaria (not that leftist misnomer “West Bank”) is part of Israel.

That’s Samaria and Judea.

Shame we weren’t allowed to visit Bethlehem when we were there due to uprisings.

There is a sign on the road in Jerusalem that veers off into that area that says “Jews not allowed”, IIRC.

Many people don’t realize there was a “Palestine” at one time, for from 1920-48 there was the British Mandate for Palestine, and the name is found on old maps from that time period.

As to there never being a modern nation state of “Palestine”:

Sargon the Great’s army occupied half of Canaan over a hundred years before Abraham stepped foot in the Levant.

C. 1500 BC, the land was called Canaan, not Israel, according to Egyptian stelae. The Egyptians occupied the land under the New Egyptian Kingdom. Later on when Israelites went it they decided to call it by another name. When Babylon took over they renamed it. It was called Palestine by the Greeks and others, c. 500BC, a name later reapplied bytheRomans.

Over time, Catholics took over the land through missionary work, not through conquering, but had it taken from them by invading caliphates, with the Crusades being a reaction to that.

There were no modern nations states then when those names were applied, that is an invention only c. four hundred years or so old, so people now can use any or all of the three to apply to the land.

Many Palestinians trace back to 3100 BC (determined by a Megiddo DNA study), which is over 1,000 years before Abraham.

Other sites dated around 2,500 BC have descendants found among Lebanese Maronite Catholics, and some Palestinians .

Canaanite DNA has been found in numerous modern Jewish people as well, and both sides genetically can lay claim, objectively, to being Semitic.

Islamic govt’s have had a very checkered and bad history concerning how they treat Christians, but with that said, Israel is far from perfect on this as well:

Tucker Carlson
How Does the Government of Israel Treat Christians

https://youtu.be/eHayOkXe5ig?feature=shared

This may anger some people, but any who do so with name-calling won’t make Tucker a liar and if they can prove him or the minister in this video wrong then they should try that route instead.

While not garnering the main headlines, Israel has been very busy in the West Bank for years. Iran has been been funding the Islamic Jihad in the West Bank.

Bibi needs to find someone like Ramzan Kadyrov, pay him a lot of money. But let him run the West Bank his way.

Like Putin did with Kadyrov in Chechnya. It worked out pretty well.

Agreed. Egypt would be crazy to try attacking Israel again. But these things can sometimes get out of hand, as if they had a will of their own. The Egyptian military must be told — in no uncertain terms— to return home beyond the agreed deployment lines. Now.
And yes, it seems very likely that the Egyptian military would shoot to kill any Arabs seeking to turn to Egypt from Gaza. This is part of the tragedy of the Arab culture nowadays.

I saw a great video about Islam:

https://youtu.be/mstfjWfWF2Y

It made the point that Islam is in trouble because the Internet means its contradictions and lies can no longer be hidden with censorship . Since the problem Israeli faces is Islam perhaps the solution is a broadcast channel that showcases all the problems with Islam 24/7. Or a cable channel. Something that will enrage a true believer but which they can’t find a way to censor.
