Former Clinton Strategist Says Democrats Are ‘Falling Off A Cliff’

Former Clinton pollster Mark Penn told Fox News that the Democratic Party appears to be “falling off a cliff” as recent polls have measured the party’s approval rating among American voters around all-time lows.

A recent poll conducted by left-leaning firm YouGov, which was released by CBS News, measured President Trump’s job approval rating at 53 percent, which is nearly a record high in the poll’s history.

Popular terms to describe the president’s first month in office include “tough,” “energetic,” “focused” and “effective.” Many respondents indicated that Trump is doing what they expected, with some in that category saying they believe he’s doing more. Very few stated that Trump is failing to deliver on his campaign promises.

The numbers have been less than stellar for Democrats over the same time period, as a recent survey from Quinnipiac found that just 31 percent of Americans hold a favorable view of the party. A staggering 57 percent of respondents indicated that they have an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party.

On Friday’s episode of “The Ingraham Angle,” host Laura Ingraham asked Penn for his opinion on why the party is hemorrhaging support among key groups within its coalition.

“Well, I’ve got some new polling coming out Monday that I’ve just looked at. And frankly, the Democratic Party is falling off a cliff. The ratings, which were in the high 40s, are going to be like 35 percent,” Penn answered, providing more troubling news for the Democratic Party as they attempt to find a message after former Vice President Kamala Harris’ defeat.

“Think of the basic question, who’s doing a better job as president, Biden or Trump? Trump is winning that with 57 percent. I think you’re seeing a retrospective assessment of Biden and the direction the Democratic Party was going, really a lot more negative than it was on election day,” Penn added.

“And they’re looking at the contrast on immigration, on economic policy, on some of the social policies. And, boy, they’re reevaluating. And the Democratic Party, I have never seen anything like this. This is a record low for the Democratic Party in terms of favorability. It has fallen really, really way down and I don’t think there’s any leadership right now that’s going to be able to bring that back.”

Penn’s fears appear to be warranted judging by the Democratic National Committee’s leadership elections earlier this month. After a bizarre convention that included protest songs and a debate over the lack of inclusion of “nonbinary” candidates, the party elected Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Ken Martin, who once called for President Donald Trump to be tried for “treason,” as its next national chair.

The party also elected Malcom Kenyatta, a far-left Philadelphia lawmaker who has lost two statewide elections by massive margins, and gun control activist David Hogg as vice chairs. Hogg — who launched a political career after his classmates were murdered in the Parkland shooting — has backed a number of the most unpopular left-wing positions in recent years.

This includes the disastrous “defund the police” platform, which many elected Democrats prefer to pretend never existed. Hogg is also a prominent gun control activist and is credited as a major influence in the selection of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as Harris’ running mate.

Democrats also vowed to double down on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies despite their widespread unpopularity, as well as gender reassignment surgeries and transgender issues. Gender ideology was listed as a massive concern among voters in November, coming in just behind issues like illegal immigration and the economy, according to exit polls.

Not if you listen to Mad Maxine and her “media” toads. James Carwreck even thinks the Far-Left Walkers are winning.

They won’t.

However, the gay female party is going to get “beat up” pretty good in the next few election cycles.

The Democrats are fighting tooth and nail on their key issues:

—Transgender everything
—Illegal invaders
—Yelling Nazi and fascist every five minutes
—Defending waste, fraud and abuse in government
—High speed rail to nowhere
—Insane “green” policies

” I don’t think there’s any leadership right now that’s going to be able to bring that back.”

More than once I have seen something like this.

Its NOT leadership, its POLICY.

The border, DEI, WOKENESS, TRANNIES, taking away my gas appliances, inflation, silly windmills and electric cars, and on and on.

That really doesn’t hurt, here let me tighten it some more.

They can’t fix a problem that they REFUSE to identify.

GOOD! KEEP DIGGING!

Penn is one of the good guys. A reasonable pollster, always respectful to his opponents. Reminds me of Pat Caddell before he completely joined us.

Polling against biological men competing against women is around 90 per cent.

That is unheard of.

It is nearly impossible to get a poll number that high on any question.

You could ask if the earth is flat and get near 10 per cent.

Trump has RIGHTLY perceived that is an issue the Democrats cannot spin or finesse.

It plays a major factor in their overall polling decline.

Who knew? All the more reason to chear Hogg as a leader of the Democratic Party.

With a little luck, this could to higher margins in the House and Senate in 2026!

So, in the last several days of my “Today’s News” I have been reporting MANY of the insider strategists for the DemoKKKrats are totally lost. They still don’t know why they lost-—a couple say they need to “moderate” on the transoid/illegal alien stuff. But none of them are ready to repudiate the evil, hateful principles that their party is based on.

Without repentance, no salvation.

...Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Ken Martin...

Correction, Ken Martin was the chair of Minnesota’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. No way this Communist is from Wisconsin. The Minnesota DFL is a Marxist organization. Martin is a Minnesota nut.

Author Cullen made a serious mistake when he wrote "the party elected Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Ken Martin..."

Martin is essentially a radical communist from MINNESOTA, not Wisconsin.

In 2011, at age 37, Martin was elected Chair of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, a role he has held for over 14 years—making him the longest-serving chair in the DFL’s 75-year history.

He has been effective in Minnesota. Martin implemented a 10-year rebuilding plan, focusing on year-round organizing, financial stability, and candidate recruitment at all levels. Under his leadership, the DFL has not lost a statewide race since 2006, boasting 25 consecutive victories by 2025. This track record includes delivering Minnesota’s 10 electoral votes to Democrats in every presidential election during his tenure, even as neighboring states like Wisconsin and Iowa swung red.

The Minnesota Farmer-Labor Party formed in 1918, uniting rural farmers and urban workers amid economic hardship following World War I. In 1944, the Minnesota Democratic Party and the Farmer-Labor Party merged.

Communists played a big role in the Farmer-Labor Party, particularly in the 1930s. The Great Depression and the Soviet Union’s anti-fascist “Popular Front” strategy led American communists, guided by figures like Clarence Hathaway, to align with the party. Hathaway, a Minnesota native and a top U.S. Communist Party leader, saw the Farmer-Labor Party as a vehicle for a broader leftist coalition.

So now we have a DNC Chairman who has deep roots in the communist Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. Between Walz and Martin, Minnesota is giving the nation the very worst people.

I suspect the “leadership” doesn’t know why they lost because they don’t know why the won previously.

They did not win because their ideas were good or effective.

They won because they controlled nearly all the media and were able to censor most of the opposition.

In essence, they won because they could lie with impunity.

They cannot do that any more. They no longer “control the narrative”. They do not control what is a scandal, and what is not.

As Elon Musk said: “We are the media”. i.e. not the old media/deep state Mediacracy.

"party’s approval rating among American voters around all-time lows."

The numbers a so bad pollsters can't even fudge the numbers anymore in a meaningful way.

One party states don’t have a great record either. It will reverse at some point. Even Trump thrives off the competition. It just has to be more substantial than what the Democrats are currently offering.
