Do the employees get to charge their personal cars for free?

One can imagine some sort of ‘incentive’ program, supported by taxes, to effectively allow free charging by gov employees. Just speculation on my part.

Yes, as far as I know. My Stepson bought a Tesla because of it, he commutes 130 miles/day into DC (when he is not working at home)!

In some places (not sure of THESE) employees CAN charge for free. It has to do with how the company pays for their power. The amount of energy siphoned off for charging a few electric cars is insignificant to the energy used and paid for at large operations.

In the end, the company is paying a flat rate for their power…and employees would see it as a benefit.

I would not invest in it on a “metered” system, but in some places its a win for no extra money.
