Texas schoolgirl, 11, took her own life for the cruelest reason. Now her mother is demanding answers

A grieving Texas mother says her 11-year-old daughter took her own life after classmates threatened to call Immigration and Customs and Enforcement (ICE) to have her deported.

Jocelynn Rojo Carranza was found unresponsive in her home in Gainesville, Texas, on February 3 and spent five days in intensive care in Dallas before passing away.

It's unclear how the girl hurt herself, but her family believes relentless bullying drove her to suicide, according to a GoFundMe page.

'The kids said because your family is Hispanic, that they were going to call ICE so her parents could be taken away and she would be left alone,' grieving mother Marbella Carranza told the local Univision station.

The bullying went on for months, according to the single mom of six, with the sixth grader seeing a school counselor to report the bullying.

However, the mother claims she was never made aware of the torment her daughter had been enduring until after her death.

'The school was aware of what was going, but they never informed me,' Carranza, who earns a living by cleaning homes, told the outlet.

'She apparently went once or twice a week to the counselor to report what was happening,' the mom stated.

'I want justice because it was an oversight by the school not to have told me what was going on.'

This is a load of happy horsesh!t. Boo frickin’ hoo. We’ll be hearing more of angst-filled fiction, each one more heart wrenching than the last.

People aren’t falling for it any more.

Part of the problem is we fill the minds of children with exaggerated fears and propaganda concerning adult issues which their minds are not equipped to see through such as ‘climate change will kill us all’, ‘covid will kill everybody’ or ‘fascism is around the corner’ or ‘deportation is the worse thing a person can endure.’

> The solution. GET YOUR KID THE HELL OUT OF THAT SCHOOL. <

Agreed. As I mentioned earlier, create a paper trail and then file a massive lawsuit. In the meantime, get your kid to a charter school.

Side story #1: A female teacher friend of mine sent a disruptive student to the principal’s office. The lazy and cowardly principal sent the student right back to class. The student then beat the crap out of my friend.

My friend filed a lawsuit against the district for not providing a safe working environment. And she got payed. It’s the only thing that works, unfortunately.

Side story #2: Another teacher friend of mine and I were talking about the bully problem just the other day. He’s a retired gym teacher.

He said that before the year 2000 or so, good kids wouldn’t allow bullying in the locker rooms. They’d step in. But now everyone just watches as the bully does his thing.

Whatever the reason for her death/suicide, I’m very sorry it happened.

Regarding bullying, these schools are supposed to have zero tolerance for bullies, but a year or two ago, I watched a documentary about an Irish girl in America, who was bullied so much that she took her own life.

After that I was curious, and I started researching suicides related to bullying. I pulled up so many it was quite eye opening. Some of the children that took their lives were as young as 10! Horrible thing for families to have to deal with.

What kind of dysfunctional family has no communication nor does a parent not notice a child’s unhappiness?

When a fellow classmate in my high school gym class threatened to push me down a flight of stairs for some unknown reason, I told the coach who, blessedly, believed me. She apparently took care of it. I never saw the girl again. The coach apologized to me and told me that the student was having problems at home. I told my mom decades later; I didn’t tell my parents then because I didn’t want to worry them, and it was resolved without needing their input anyway.

If someone is threatening to kill you, it’s not always time to play “show some spunk”.

Sorry. Clarification to my post #23.

“But now everyone just watches as the bully does his thing.”

By “everyone”, I mean the other students. Every gym teacher I knew would go hands-on in situations like that.

My first thought as well.

Consider who is breaking the story.

That tells you all you need to know about how reliable it is.

> Regarding bullying, these schools are supposed to have zero tolerance for bullies… <

As I mentioned in my post #14, I know quite a bit about that. Yes, schools say they have zero tolerance for bullies.

But at least in the city schools where I worked, Job One was managing public relations. Everything else was secondary. So bullies were not expelled. And they were rarely suspended. Gotta keep those numbers down!

Better to send the bully right back to class.

I can’t tell you how many times as a teacher I experienced that. I’d break up a bullying incident. Then I’d write a report to the principal.

A day or two later I’d get a response: “Student was counseled.”

What does that mean? It means nothing was done.

to the rest of you panty wearing liberals crying "violence is not the answer". a lack of violence from victims, is what makes bullies feel safe.

You are 100% correct. It used to be that if said something inappropriate or acted out of line, you might get punched in the face. Therefore people were more polite cause who enjoys getting a punch in the face.

There’s an Australian show called “Mr IInbetween” and the main character sums it up perfectly, Why the World is Full of A$$holes.

I'll say it. Parents know their children and can smell a problem before it hits their noses. It's a psychic sort of phenomenon.

I know you've heard me say it at least a thousand times. All children should be told that "all problems are temporary, death is permanent." "Pick your chin up."

As you all know the media is sifting all over trying to find something that will stick as we are the ones with the problem. Not them who are paid for propagandists. I would even think they would make news up and put names to faces of these children who haven't had their side of the story. They've been doing it and have been caught and it's so easy for them to fake outrage. Is this their new George Floyd moment? No and do you want to know why? They can't pay for their rioters any longer. They can't fill a chuck e cheese party lol.

I don't believe anything they say and I have proof not just my conspiracy.

or who hurt her...

If its unclear just how it was done then its unclear whether or not it was a suicide...

“Of course no mention if this single mother of six, and her kids are here illegally...”

Notice the article does not say either way so we can assume the mom was an illegal.

Wanna bet because of this story she get deported?

Goes on world news crying that her child was bullied in American school, but is not legal citizen.

Don’t you just love stupid criminals?

It’s sad the girl died. If deportation was an issue, then she would likely be alive if she were in her home country. The ones to blame are the leftists that encouraged them to come here, paid their way and have been paying for them all along. Illegal is criminal. I have no issue with deporting the rest of the family. They do not belong here.
