I’m no war expert by any means but I’m pretty sure the winners advance slowly and then very quickly. I’ve wondered for a long time if we would wake up one day and find out the Ukraine lines have totally collapsed.

Most Russian operations are small unit tactics, and territorial gains are measured in hundreds of meters not miles. This is not WWII. But, while Ukraine holds on tenaciously at key points, like Chasiv Yar and Pokrovsk, the initiative and momentum remain with Russia.
On to the Dnieper, the natural and cultural boundary?
I said more than a year ago that Putin would get his trillion dollar land grab and Zelensky would get asylum in Switzerland and keep the billions he stole. But seeing as it may actually be more like 100 billion I am not so sure his is going to be allowed to keep it. He is only alive today because Putin knows he is utterly corrupt and will play ropa-dope until he gets his payday. If he pushes too hard he is going to get a cruise missile up his posterior.
