It’s interesting to seriously consider what these lunatics are protesting against!

That's what gets me.
Quite a few women seem to hate and fear Trump. Why? What do they think he's going to do?
Some number of homosexuals hate and fear Trump. Why? What do they think he's going to do?
Some number of blacks hate and fear Trump. Why? What do they think he's going to do?

The current plan from Trump seems to be to make everyone prosperous and healthy, and to eliminate government fraud so that your tax dollars are wisely and properly spent. Additionally, Trump would like to keep us out of wars. I guess some people oppose all of this.

Three things I chalk that up to - gullibility to manipulation due to low intellect and life experiences, mental illness on some spectrum or another which reinforces implacable cognitive biases in perceptions and behavior, and those whose steady paycheck gravy train is being threatened.
