Here is PROOF that the DUmmie FUnnies has made a major change in the language in the spelling department. For years stories and descriptions in the DUmmie FUnnies used the spelling "SHTOOPING" rather than the (until now) more widely accepted "schtuping." Why? Because, frankly, "SHTOOPING" just looks funnier.
Anyway, others began slowly to use the DUmmie FUnnies spelling and Hot Air is the latest to use the revised spelling as you can see HERE:
"Kamala Harris, and her babysitter-shtooping husband Doug Emhoff, were in New York City over the weekend to attend a couple Broadway performances - A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical, and then later, Gypsy. Armstrong, of course, is an all-American classic, an absolute legend. I can only hope that the play honors the life of music and entertainment Satchmo gave us all for so long."
I think that word comes from a Yiddish word something like “schtupping”. IIRC Yiddish is at least loosely based on German.

“Schtooping” just looks wrong, and “schtoopping” is weird.
Nevertheless, congratulations to DuFu for having his misspelling ‘accepted’, for whatever that’s worth.

And the role of the DUmmie FUnnies was creating and popularizing the much funnier spelling as "SHTOOPING."
Correct which is why the silent "c" was dropped resulting in "SHTOOPING."
And always too soon.
