The 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic left a troubling legacy in Europe: More than 1300 people who received a vaccine to prevent the flu developed narcolepsy, an incurable, debilitating condition that causes overpowering daytime sleepiness, sometimes accompanied by a sudden muscle weakness in response to strong emotions such as laughter or anger. The manufacturer, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), has acknowledged the link, and some patients and their families have already been awarded cpmpensation. But how the vaccine might have triggered the condition has been unclear.
In a paper in Science Translational Medicine (STM) this week, researchers offer a possible explanation. They show that the vaccine, called Pandemrix, triggers antibodies that can also bind to a receptor in brain cells that help regulate sleepiness. The work strongly suggests that Pandemrix, which was given to more than 30 million Europeans, triggered an autoimmune re action that led to narcolepsy in some people who are genetically at risk.
When they heard about the rise in narcolepsy in 2010, neuroscientist Lawrence Steinman of Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, and rheumatologist Sohail Ahmed, who at the time was global head of clinical sciences at Novartis's vaccines and diagnostics division in Siena, Italy, began scouring databases for proteins expressed in the brain that might resemble those in the vaccine.
Their search turned up a suspect: a piece of a receptor for hypocretin resembles part of the H1N1 influenza nucleoprotein—which binds to the virus genome and plays a key role in its replication. "That was really an 'Aha' moment," says Ahmed, who is now at GSK, which bought part of Novartis's vaccine division.
The article is still quite cautions - it isn't going to claim 'causation' and I suspect that's because Faucism was still on patrol in 2015. For this reason, I expect there's a raft of counter information published and ready for 'the signal' to declare this misinformation - so I'm posting for those who want to look at Faucism during H1N1 1.0.
Here's an excerpt from an article linked in the OP:
Antibodies to influenza nucleoprotein cross-react with human hypocretin receptor 2
Science Translational Medicine1 Jul 2015Immunological mistaken identity
New reports of narcolepsy increased after the vaccination campaign against the 2009 A(H1N1) influenza pandemic in some countries but not others. Now Ahmed et al. examine differences between the vaccines used and find a potential mechanistic explanation for the vaccine-specific effect. They found a peptide in influenza nucleopeptide A that shared protein residues with human hypocretin receptor 2, which has been linked to narcolepsy. The vaccine used in unaffected countries contained less influenza nucleoprotein. Indeed, patients with putative vaccine-associated narcolepsy produced antibodies that cross-reacted to both the influenza and the hypocretin receptor 2 epitopes. Although these data do not demonstrate causation, they provide a possible explanation for the association of this particular influenza vaccination with increased reports of narcolepsy.

For those who may be interested.
I’m not sure what to make of this report.
Let me sleep on it.
For later
I will no longer consider any virus shots. A few days of a runny nose and fever isn’t so bad considering the consequences of a bad vax.
The older I get, the more I distrust vaccines. Especially newer vaccines that are rushed to market with little adverse reaction studies. And absolutely zero long term studies.
Hahahahahahah…zzzzzzz
I’m not sure what to make of this report.

It’s just another instance where proper safety trials would have likely revealed this vax induced injury before it was let loose on the public. They didn’t want safety trials done because none of their concoctions would have made it to market. They wound up using the innocent public as guinea pigs.
