COMAL COUNTY, Texas - For the first time, a Texas jury classified a woman as a sexually violent predator.
A Comal County jury determined Desiree Hamm, a 37-year-old from San Diego, should be classified as a sexually violent predator under Texas law. Kidnapping and abuse conviction
The backstory:
Desiree Hamm, 37, has served 15 years of a 20-year sentence after pleading guilty to 13 counts of sexual performance by a child, aggravated kidnapping and sexual abuse of a child. She was also sentenced to 10 years probation after her release.
In late 2009, Hamm began online relationships with two teen victims in a role playing game.
Records show she spent hundreds of hours on the phone and computer with the girls, brainwashed them to believe the game was reality and would monitor their webcams.
Hamm also sent the girls secret cell phones, computers, pulls and gifts.
In addition, Hamm was able to convince an adult woman, who she controlled through similar measures, to drive from San Diego to Comal County and then drive the girls back to California.
The girls spent some of the trip in the trunk of the car.
Hamm gave false information and misinformation to police who were looking for the girls and kept them hidden for the next month.
During that time, Hamm committed a number of sexual assaults and branded them with a homemade brand to match her tattoo.
The Texas Board of Pardons and Parole granted Hamm an early release from prison.
Hamm is eligible for parole as soon as August 2025, as long as she completes a Sex Offender Treatment Program, according to online records. Sexually Violent Predator Trial

“...Hamm is eligible for parole as soon as August 2025, as long as she completes a Sex Offender Treatment Program, according to online records.”
What parole board is going to approve her release? Highly unlikely.
Lazy definitely wouldn’t!
It looks like the SNL character Pat.
Thanks - now I don’t have to look
Obviously the victims were not boys.
Hamm also sent the girls secret cell phones, computers, pulls and gifts.

“Complete the program.”
The judges/prosecutors in Comal County sure like those “programs”.
20-ish years ago I had an NSF Check for $52.50 on an account that I closed when I moved from Canyon Lake to Lago Vista. I had a traffic stop and there was a warrant out for Me. If I had known about it would have paid off the check but I didn’t so I was arrested.
Spent a week in the Travis County Jail before being picked up by the Comal County Sheriff then was taken to Comal County Jail where I was released on Personal Recognizance after 10 hours in CCJ as I had no prior anything.
I got a money order and paid the merchant for the NSF check the day I got out of CCJ.
When I got to court the DA wanted Me to Pay a $500 fine, the $52.50 check (I showed him the receipt for the MO and from the Merchant that I had paid it already.) Time Served in the 2 different Jails, 40 hours of Community Service, 1 year probation that has additional Fees to the Parole Board, take a “Theft Education Program” that cost like $200 (to which I asked him if that was a class on how to safely have an NSF Check and not get caught ?) and Court costs !!!
All that for a $52.50 NSF Check and that was the first and only time I ever had an NSF Check.
Finally I ended up with no Court Costs, no Community Service, no Parole and no Theft Education Program.
I wondered what they would have wanted if I had done REALLY BAD ?
After reading this Thread I think I would have been better off doing something really bad...
And then when I got back to Lago Vista I had to find out what Impound Wrecker Company had My car and then pay them for the Towing and 7 days Storage Fees. Another $600.00 !!!
So in the end I ended up paying $1100.00 plus jail time. That was the most expensive BBQ Brisket Family Pack and a tank of gas...
