A guanopathic extended family member with an “ADHD” kid just threatened her husband’s entire side of the family if they don’t actively campaign against repeal of IDEA section 504, which provides accommodations to ADHD and other kids. Biden admin added gender dysphoria to the list of conditions last year. Anybody have an unbiased info source on what’s actually being proposed?

My former young friend thinks the same, calling Trump an abilist. (I had to look that up.) She got a masters in education last year and subsequently lost her common sense. She does have a child with spina bifida.

Thanks for posting those. I’ve seen a HIGHLY Cluster B parent take a normal, high functioning teen and convince her she’s OCD, ADHD, PTSD depressive disorder and anxiety disorder. The mother and daughter studied up the symptoms of each in the DSM. They went to the family doctor, filled out questionnaires of symptoms and convinced doc of each. Doctor diagnosed each and prescribed birth control pills, Concerta, Prozac and now Abilify. The girl also loaded up on covid injection, HPV and hepatitis vax. Now the girl is suicidal, physically inactive, developed heart arrhythmia, takes her high school classes remotely from home, isolated, depressed, anxious and has dizzy spells. Her pupils are as wide as dinner plates. All because the Munchausen by Proxy of the mother. The mother is destroying her life. Golden Child girl used to be a normal, active, athletic and social.
Same mother also convinced older scapegoat brother he is autistic, even though he was evaluated by the autism department head of a major children’s hospital as not on the spectrum. But mother knows better than any doctor, in her mind. She didn’t discipline him growing up and always let him get his way. She also got him diagnosed as ADHD, PTSD, anxious and depressed, oppositional defiance disorder and on the same cocktail of Schedule C narcotics. If course he acted out violently at school and home, became suicidal and was eventually diagnosed as conduct disorder. She also convinced him he is “gay” and paid for all kinds of tattoos for him. He dropped out of school and couldn’t keep a job so she moved him in with a homosexual across the hall to get him out of the house. Then the young man got caught up in drug use and trade. When he owed his dealer hundreds and didn’t pay rent they all got in trouble with the law. So while the others went to jail the mother took the son out of state across the country to keep him from being arrested. We hear he’s been contacting church members begging for money, and most recently moved in with his grandmother in another state. We know how that will turn out.
Both children are completely enmeshed with the very unhealthy mother with an agenda. Yet doctors have trouble believing a mother would do anything bad to their kids, and many are very happy to write numerous prescriptions. For bonuses from drug companies I assume. And we see how quickly the school system plays into emotional support programs supported by Medicaid. Neither of those children have ADHD. Bad parenting, corruption in the judicial system, incompetence in the fields of psychiatry and psychology, child protective services and schools are destroying children’s lives who are suffering behavioral issues. The answer is not ADHD and pharmaceuticals. That makes everything worse. But that keeps the money flowing through the corrupt system. It’s a nightmare.

I think my husband was undiagnosed ADHD. Back when we were kids it meant getting in trouble at school and being yelled at by the parents. He had mostly good parents. His dad was very hard on him an obviously favored my husband’s younger brother.
My husband also has an unapologetic, often unfiltered smart mouth. So THAT may have been his only disability. School bored him.
That seems like it would work
That’s the question to be answered by the courts: unconstitutional section, or unconstitutional action that can be resolved by taking out the definition that was added unconstitutionally.
