Facebook news feed isn't working
2/15/2025 | Me

For the past couple of days my Facebook newsfeed seems to be stuck on "Your all caught up." Has anyone else had this problem?

I found a way around this, but it's something most people can't do. I boot to my Windows 7 O/S and Facebook works fine. But in Windows 10, or even Linux, it doesn't work. I even disabled a couple extensions for ad blocking and zilch, still nothing. Thanks.

Wow... I know you know what you are doing so I find this extremely interesting... A type of “shadow banning” on you or your feed sources?

Have you tried a different browser?

You say that like it’s a bad thing.

Good! It’s not news and it’s not nutritious. Maybe RFK banned it already.

Have you tried using a cell phone. My cell phone works perfectly Ok, but my Facebook on my Cheap worthless Chromebook laptop isn’t working to good. After seeing about 2 postings it just flickers. I’m thinking maybe adding a app for Facebook on the laptop and see if that corrects the problem on the laptop.

Trump broke it.

It was twitchy on my Chrome at work the last two days. Fine on the phone. Fine on the home computer so far today.

It happens to me pretty often.

But in the past few days it is going nonstop with Gulf of America posts. Hundreds of them.

Which I guess isn’t a bad thing!

The FB app functions much better than using a PC or phone browser. I sometimes suspect it’s their passive aggressive way to move people on to their app only.

I tried all four browsers on W10, none of them work. Windows 7, though, just fine. It’s got to be something with newer software standards that are present in newer O/S’s and not in the older ones, but I can’t figure it out.

That’s never going to happen with me. I very, very rarely ever access FB on my phone. It’s 99.99999999% pc usage for me.

Facebook’s website is about the worst I’ve ever seen.

I didn’t know it had a news feed. I mostly watch cat videos.

Well, whenever FB gets their act together I’ll come back to W10, but for now, I’ll stay on W7. It’s the only way I can get my weather updates. This sucks.

Are you using Chrome?

It stopped working in Chrome for me. But works in Microsoft Edge. Actually stopped working and after restart worked again until it did not.

I don’t get a caught up message, just two blank posts and nothing more after showing the reels.

Works fine on my phone and tablet.

I tried Chrome, Brave, Edge and a mozilla browser. None of them work, in Windows 10. If I log into Windows 7, FB works fine. I’m about ready to jump back in W7 in a few short moments. Maddening.....
