Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth spent Friday morning working out in the snow with US forces in Poland — as new military ads reflect a renewed pride in power and strength.
Hegseth, who arrived in Warsaw Thursday for his first official overseas trip, shared photos of himself jogging and doing pre-dawn pushups with members of the US Army V Corps and Polish forces who work with them there.
After Trump’s election victory in November, the US Army announced it shattered previous recruiting records when the service said it enlisted nearly 350 soldiers per day in December 2024, the most productive December in 15 years.
The surge in recruitment comes after two consecutive years of missing recruitment targets.

I suspect that hegseth does not imbibe in this.

I recall the PT days, then a 5 mile run, which was up one hill and down another.
Like working out in Michigan. Which my fat self does not do.

Do yourself a favor and begin this weekend. Take it slow so you don’t kill yourself and you will add years to your life, maybe even decades! And . . . you will look better and feel better! Get the book by Sean Whalen titled How To Make Sh*t Happen. Lot of vulgarity but also a lot of good motivational advice.

Hopefully any potential adversaries will be so scared of Trump and our military that we can go for a long time without a war.
THIS is the kind of leadership that the military will respect, and respond to.

If this is something they do regularly
just have the SECDEF stay in the back
and exercise with the troops.

It was alpha males who won World War II for the allies.
Thank God.
Up until my mid 60’s until then I was a hard core runner.
My cut off temp for a run was -32F.
10K at those temp one would still come back sweaty.
