Canadian hockey fans could once again be heard booing the US national anthem amid President Trump's threats of tariffs - despite officials pleading with them beforehand.
The US were taking on Finland in the Four Nations Face-Off in Montreal on Thursday night, but much of the build-up was dominated by whether Canadian fans would once again show their disapproval of their neighbors to the south.
Just days after Ottawa Senators supporters booed the US anthem before an NHL game against Minnesota, Montreal's hockey fans made their voices heard.
As each of the Team USA players' names were read out by the public address announcer, they were met by loud boos from the crowd north of the border.
Incredibly, the announcer then pleaded with fans to 'show respect' to the anthems of both nations before they were played, but some went against the request and boos could be heard in the background.
Taking to X, one fan wrote: 'Canadians are such losers for still booing our National Anthem. Why is this game even in Montreal?'
Another added: 'Watching the NHL 4 Nations Playoff. It's in Montreal and all those ****ing babies are booing the USA players. Now they are booing the USA National anthem. What a bunch of ******s. That's not a very good representation of the future 51st State.'

F em
Let them boo. Does no harm, and it may soothe their butt hurt a little.
Trump is wrong on this. Outside of Alberta,Saskatchewan, Yukon and the Nortwest Teritories, Canadians don’t deserve to be part of America.
Apparently, those fans are happy with their failing country and its failed Prime Minister.
Or other wise said F em, eh?
Let them boo.
Canada has some tarrifs as high as 300% on American imports, Trump is not wrong on this. Why would you support Canada tarrifs against the USA but not our tarrifs?
When was the last time a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup? It was the Montreal Canadiens who last held that honor over 30 years ago, as they bested the Los Angeles Kings in five games in 1993 to hoist Lord Stanley. Since then, only seven Canadian teams have made it to the Stanley Cup Final, including the 2024 Edmonton Oilers.
"F Canada!"
oh bless their little hearts
they have to suffer with trudeau
and we got TRUMP!!!
I believe that PDJT knows full well, that ON and ESPECIALLY QU, would NOT fit well in the US. His latest pronouncement on Canaduh, the 51st State, is designed to push True-dolt and his soon to be ‘coronated’ successor, ‘Carbon-Tax’ Carney.
He is playing True-dolt, egging him to call an election. He wants to negotiate with someone with a brain, as well as a mandate.
My expectation is, if Carney calls an election immediately after his ‘coronation’, and somehow shows good poll results, I expect PDJT and Tulsi, to start releasing intelligence of ChiCom interference with the Lieberals. More and more intelligence about the depth of Lieberal Party corruption, will continue to be released. Hopefully, this should result in the utter destruction of the Lieberal Party, and a WIN-WIN deal for Canada and the US, under a Conservative Party government.
oh i agree wholeheartedly
Considering geography and Canada’s natural resources, this makes sense. But we do not want those liberals polluting our electoral college.
Unless they develop true love for Trump and sincerely make changes, we do not want those libs!
Hmmmm, lemme see…. Who threw bananas at a black US hockey player?
Oh yea, Canadians. That’s who.
Seems like the Canadians are rallying around the flag.
Trudeau may be able to call an election shortly and he'll win another term.
The proper thing for Trump was to ignore Trudeau until the next election.
We'll find out soon.
they never mention how many ...
Whatever. Canada has always been someone’s poor cousin.
GREAT question that lacks a great answer.
My thoughts exactly.
