Matt Schlapp, the face of the Conservative Political Action Conference, allegedly sexually assaulted a man at a bar in Virginia last weekend.
According to independent journalist Yashar Ali, seven witnesses say that the chairman of the American Conservative Union “allegedly engaged in lewd conduct and allegedly sexually assaulted a man at a bar on Saturday night near a property he owns in north-central Virginia.”
Ali reports that restaurant and bar is located in north-central Virginia which is allegedly nearby a property owned by Schlapp and his wife, Mercedes Schlapp. The Schlapps are vocal supporters of President Donald Trump with Mercedes having worked in the Trump White House during his first term.
Video footage and photographs allegedly reviewed by Ali confirm that Schlapp was present at the bar during the night where the alleged assault took place. Schlapp also reportedly used a credit card in his name to set up a tab at the bar that he never paid out.
According to Ali, on Saturday night Schlapp entered the bar where he allegedly spent over an hour standing close to different groups of men. Sources tell Ali that Schlapp would allegedly intentionally pass by men at the bar allowing his body to closely graze against theirs.
Witnesses claim that Schlapp was within two feet or less of a group of men despite there being plenty of open space in the bar. The men told Ali that Schlapp followed them around the establishment. Their allegations were confirmed by Ali who allegedly reviewed video footage from the night of the incident that shows Schlapp “had no reason to be as close to the men as he was.”
However, one man, who came to the bar with his female partner, claims that Schlapp sexually assaulted him by grabbing his genitalia.
“Every time I looked around—whether we were on the dance floor, at the bar, or back at the table talking to people—every time I turned around, this guy was right there, one foot behind me. And I was just not comfortable with this,” the male accuser told Ali.
Per Ali, after being confronted by the man’s partner, Schlapp gripped the man’s genitals while he was mid-sentence at the bar. The man reported the assault to a manager who then allegedly escorted Schlapp off the property:
The man’s partner (a woman) also told me she confronted Schlapp, informing him that the man was in a relationship with her and asking him to back off.
While the same man was asking Schlapp to leave because everyone felt uncomfortable with his presence and conduct, Schlapp—while the man was mid-sentence—grabbed and gripped his genitals while looking him directly in the eyes, the man told me.
After the alleged assault, the man who says he was assaulted reported the incident to a manager, who escorted Schlapp out.
Despite being asked to leave, Schlapp returned to the bar, leading to a heated confrontation, according to multiple sources.
Schlapp did not close out his tab, and his name was repeatedly called by the bartender when the last call was made, according to multiple witnesses.
The alleged assault and Schlapp’s alleged lewd conduct were widely discussed among the other patrons at the bar, many of whom knew each other, according to witnesses.
In the past, Schlapp has faced numerous allegations of sexual misconduct, including one allegations that reportedly resulted in a confidential settlement of nearly half a million dollars, according to CNN.
This kinda presents a conundrum for Democrats. They can’t denounce this behavior without angering their LGBTQ+ base.........
Schlapp him in prison.
He needs to show some self-restraint.

/yes, of course it’s sarcasm. But I notice MANY FREEPERS AUTOMATICALLY BELIEVE anything they accuse a conservative of committing. Come on, folks, be smarter.

Why does it seem like only Republicans have so many closeted members? Primarily it’s democrats pretending to be conservative. You never see a conservative pretend to be a democrat just to wreak havoc on the other party. Why can’t republicans figure this stuff out and protect the party better? This guy had multiple questionable instances in his past and the most recent one was by all accounts in front of an entire room full of people. This guy needs a cell, not a position of power.
It cost him a half million last time..............
Gays normally are very narcissistic. Politics and acting attracts that personality disorder. Hence the high number of gays in the acting and the surprising number in conservative politics.
Before I pass judgement, I'd like to know the political invovlement of those involved.

It is not the preponderance of evidence, it’s the seriousness of the charges.

He says he has video of him in the bar but no video of the “assault” in the bar?
And where the heck is Northern Central Virginia? No such place exists. This supposedly happens one-week before CPAC? Skeptical.
