Special Dispatch to the New-York Times.

WASHINGTON, Saturday, Feb. 11.

The latest Richmond papers, just received, contain an announcement of the capture of Branchville. The possession of this important point isolates both Augusta and Charleston, and will necessitate the immediate evacuation of the latter place.

Richmond papers of the same date also admit the complete success of GRANT'S recent movement.

CONFIRMATION VIA PHILADELPHIA.

PHILADELPHIA, Saturday, Feb. 11.

A special dispatch to the Bulletin, dated Washington, to-day, says:

"Richmond papers of yesterday announce, unofficially, the capture of Branchville, S.C., by Gen. SHERMAN's forces."

REBEL REPORTS.

From the Richmond Whig, Feb. 9.

It was stated in a telegram received a few days since, that heavy skirmishing had been going on at McBride's Bridge. This bridge is seventeen miles west of Graham's Turnout, which is twenty-seven miles west of Branchville, on the Augusta Railroad.

NEWS FROM REBEL SOURCES.

OPERATIONS BELOW WILMINGTON.

From the Richmond Whig, Feb. 9.

The Wilmington Journal says that two Yankee gunboats shelled Fort Anderson on Friday last. No damage was done to the fort. Six of our men were wounded -- two seriously. There were two monitors up the river, but neither came near enough to participate. The fort replied, and put a shot through one of the gunboats, compelling her to haul off.

THE PEACE COMMISSION FROM NORTH CAROLINA.

The Raleigh Confederate says that the commissioners from North Carolina, who recently visited Richmond, were admitted to an immediate and protracted interview with President DAVIS. The matters of conference were confidential, but we are enabled to say that the President was frank, unreserved and confiding; that he presented to the commissioners a full history of his policy as connected with the peace negotiations, and that the interview resulted agreeably and usefully.
