The Department of Homeland Security confirmed on Tuesday that some Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) employees who worked on "mis-, dis-, and malinformation" were put on administrative leave.
In a statement to Scripps News, DHS assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin wrote CISA needs to "refocus on its mission," starting with election security.
"The agency is undertaking an evaluation of how it has executed its election security mission with a particular focus on any work related to mis-, dis-, and malinformation," according to the statement.
As first reported by Fox News Digital, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas testified in April 2022 that the Department of Homeland Security was creating a "Disinformation Governance Board" to combat misinformation ahead of the 2022 midterm election.
During an appearance before the House Appropriations Subcommittee, Mayorkas said a "Disinformation Governance Board" was created to address misinformation campaigns targeting minority communities.
While the agency conducts the assessment, personnel who worked on the alleged "mis-, dis-, and malinformation," as well as foreign influence operations and disinformation, will remain on administrative leave, according to the statement.
The board was allegedly led by Undersecretary for Policy Rob Silvers, co-chair with principal deputy general counsel Jennifer Gaskill.
Nina Jankowicz, who previously served as a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center, reportedly served as executive director, Politico reported.

I LOVE it!
Ran across it and just had to ‘borrow’ it. LOL
Now git!
Too bad they’re getting paid.
Yep! I pointed out that with hopefully hundreds of thousands of federal “workers” freshly shitcanned from their jobs with the federal government, they could now fill the jobs currently being held by illegal aliens and H1bs....so we can deport both!

The Dept of Homeland Security has more than 260,000
employees on the govt payroll as of Jun 11, 2024.
DHS jobs range from aviation and border security to emergency
response, from cybersecurity analyst to chemical facility inspector.
The Homeland Security govt funding bill includes $91.515 billion tax dollars in total discretionary appropriations for the Dept of Homeland Security, including $62.793 billion within the bill’s allocation, $5.837 billion in discretionary appropriations offset by fee collections, and a $20.261 billion allocation adjustment for major response “events.”
<><>The Homeland Security Investigations division received $2.5 billion tax dollars, an increase of $123 million above fiscal year 2023. The agency apparently “lent” employees to Secret Service wrt the Trump assassination “event,” and has over 9,800 Special Agents and tactical officers on the tax-paid govt payroll.
These jobs come with tax-paid perks, privileges, Cadillac healthcare, life insurance, stipends, bonuses, interest free loans, expense accounts, credit cards, Social Security programs, several pensions, free travel, paid holidays and time off, etc, etc, etc.
Let’s get Congress to check it out.

Message: Payroll fraud is widespread and easy to pull off on the govt payroll.
There are several methodologies used, including
<><>submitting falsified time sheets,
<><>issuing unauthorized paychecks, healthcare, bonuses, benefits and overtime
<><>enrolling fictitious employees in pension plans.
The govt fraudster simply sets up fictitious employees and arranges for them to receive a salary,
benefits, overtime payments, bonuses and pensions, even though they do not perform any duties.
The fraudster then diverts the fraudulent payments into their bank account or that of an accomplice.
Payroll fraud entails serious crimes.......falsifying govt documents, misappropriation of tax dollars, skimming, larceny, check tampering, check kiting, billing fraud, payroll fraud, reimbursement fraud, pension fraud, misuse of tax dollars, theft of tax dollars, ID fraud, Social Security swindles, IRS fraud.
Here’s hoping Psychogawea is on the waiting list.
I was thinking the same. I recall seeing her in a photo with some border agents and thought some of those guys had to be drooling.
On a serious note, it appears she’s going to straighten that mess called DHS out. I never understood the need for DHS as I thought it overlapped too much with the FBI, which also was made a shambles by the left.
When all of the corrupt agents are rooted out of both, we might have enough good ones to make up just either the FBI or DHS. Personally I think they should both be shuttered and a totally new fed LEO agency be created using the remaining staff of the two.
“I was impressed watching her wearing her Stetson, riding horseback along the border. It wasn’t a costume. She’s the real deal.”
I was no friend of hers in SD, but now I’m thinking that she was pretty much trapped there by the SD Deep State...and now she’s liberated to kick ass.
As I suspected...when they said CISA employees were being let go or paused I knew none of them actually did any cyber security, but were these 90 IQ “disinformation” dimocrap party hacks.
It’s a keeper
JOHN H BROWN==1 paycheck
J Henry Brown==1 paycheck
J H Brown == 1 paycheck

LOL Sounds like a plan!
It’s been a crazy, fun three weeks and this week isn’t slowing down a bit. It’s hard to keep up.
Payroll fraud: JOHN H BROWN==1 paycheck.....
J Henry Brown==1 paycheck......J H Brown == 1 paycheck.

Yup.....nails it but good.
