While those are accurate rates, there are thresholds required to get to those levels.
Looking into tariffs is a heck of a rabbit hole.

Those are the tariffs Canada placed on American commodities?

Canada tariff’s US Dairy to protect its dairy farmers, while simultaneously putting them out of business with environmental policies.

Trump may have done Trudeau a favor. Now there's a possibility that Trudeau may stay in power. He's still in office.
Even if he is forced to step down, his party may be able to hold on to their seats in the Parliament.
If Trump had ignored Trudeau, there was no way that the Liberals were going to win the next election.
Then Trump can negotiate with Pierre.
Now it looks like Trump will have to deal with Trudeau or his successor for the next four years.

I live in the Soviet of Washington on the far left coast. Gas Stations at Sumas (a city on the US side of the border) have huge containers of milk, huge quantities of butter, etc. that Canadians buy before returning to Canada.
US citizens stop in both directions at the boarder duty free shop to buy alcoholic beverages and tobacco products going to and coming back from Canada.
The Canadian tariffs and agricultural subsidies are nothing new to many of us.
Also Canada has a VAT to is placed on all goods exported to the USA. Some provinces also have their own VAT (Value Added Tax). While that kind of tax may not be a tariff, it serves the same function.
