Just love how uneducated both Americans and Canadians truly are.
Here are just some historic tariffs Canada hits America with.
Milk: 270%
Cheese: 245%
Butter: 298%
Chicken: 238%
Sausages: 69.9%
Barley seed: 57.8%
Bovine/meat: 26.5%
Cars: 25%
HVAC: 45%
Vacuums: 35%
Cable boxes: 35%
TVs: 45%
Steel: 25%
Aluminum: 45%
Copper: 48%Take a guess how much financial aide the U.S. sends Canada EVERY YEAR and how much military defense $$$$ we provide?
Farmers are always in the crosshairs.
So!
Canada’s been taking America for a ride all along.
In my states, farmers do get some tax breaks, but really they should pay zero in property taxes for working farms. We need more, not fewer. Too many farmer's kids don't want anything to do with the hard work. Money in the pocket is a great incentive to keep the operation going.
BTTT
While those are accurate rates, there are thresholds required to get to those levels.
Looking into tariffs is a heck of a rabbit hole.
Those are the tariffs Canada placed on American commodities?
Canada tariff’s US Dairy to protect its dairy farmers, while simultaneously putting them out of business with environmental policies.
The only thing worth it from Canada, is Letterkenny.
In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled Tony Seruga @TonySeruga: Here are just some historic tariffs Canada hits America with. Milk: 270% Cheese: 245% Butter: 298% Chicken: 238%, monkeyshine wrote: Those are the tariffs Canada placed on American commodities?
Yes, see post #6.
Canadian tariffs have long been extremely unfair to the US.
But the US also provides Financial aid and mlitary defense$$$$. This is why Trump said it should become the 51st state, and asserted that without US funding, Canada would cease to exist.
Even if he is forced to step down, his party may be able to hold on to their seats in the Parliament.
If Trump had ignored Trudeau, there was no way that the Liberals were going to win the next election.
Then Trump can negotiate with Pierre.
Now it looks like Trump will have to deal with Trudeau or his successor for the next four years.
300% Tariffs for the Canucks.
Are these new tariffs or have they been in place since before Trump?
They seem ridiculously onerous and extremely protectionist.
Historic or current?
Canadians love paying higher prices for stuff.
Lol.
Canadians are well aware that Pierre can cut a much better deal with Trump than Castro's son.
I just had a video where Trump was commenting on the $200 billion per year in trade deficit and defense we provide.
Im looking for it...
They basically live in a winter wonderland of these cannot be produced for a season:
Milk: 270%
Cheese: 245%
Butter: 298%
Chicken: 238%
Sausages: 69.9%
Barley seed: 57.8%
Bovine/meat: 26.5%
We don’t need you as much you need us and I’ll just start with Military
Forget the trade imbalance
“Guess how much foreign aid (not aide) we send Canada.”
The answer is zero. A trade deficit or surplus is NOT foreign aid.
