Without even opening the video, I think that’s the point.
The reeeeing is all people trying more gaslighting to tell us that we didn’t really want nice agencies stopped, precious; that we should only look at the good grants and not the 99.89% of grift grants; how sad the indigenous people of wherever will be without USAID feeding them, how horrible it will be if all those nice government people don’t have their careers.
This is “the pretending.” The reality is that when wealth (represented by $, but the hard work of productive people) is sent to people who at best squander it uselessly but more often do destructive work to tear apart functioning societies and install division and chaos, stopping isn’t a negative to society but a boon.
This is not a new problem. C.S. Lewis described similar in “Voyage of the Dawn Treader” when his Caspian has to break up corruption and slave trading in the islands:

Hubby naps every afternoon. On day when he woke up he asked if anything had happened in the news.

“Trump shipped the prisoners and then went to play golf.

“Trump told Petro that there would be immediate tariffs and visas would be revoked.
“Petro said he would accept returned citizens.
“Prisoners were shipped back”
Other than that, it’s been pretty quiet.
