President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against CBS News was expanded following the release of the unedited transcript and raw footage of its “60 Minutes” interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris.
According to a late-Friday filing from Trump’s legal team reviewed by Fox News Digital, the lawsuit is adding CBS News’ parent company Paramount Global as a defendant, citing how the “60 Minutes” election special was platformed on its Paramount+ streaming service.
Additionally, the lawsuit is adding Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, as a plaintiff.
“Representative Jackson is a consumer of broadcast and digital news media content in this State, District, and Division, including the broadcast and digital news media content from Defendants at issue in this action, and he has thus been injured by Defendants’ conduct alleged herein,” the amended complaint states.
Trump’s attorneys amended its lawsuit to include multiple excerpts from the unedited transcript in hopes of bolstering their case that CBS News withheld unflattering exchanges in order to help the Democratic nominee.
“Once Defendants finally released the unedited version of the Interview, it became apparent that they had engaged in gross broadcast distortion cover-up and manipulated not only Harris’s Reply about Prime Minister Netanyahu, but the Interview in its entirety,” the filing states.

They didn’t need a mole. 60 minutes has always been editing interviews to distort Trump and make Democrats look good.
What a joke 60 minutes is. Trump should sue for 60 Billion! 60 minutes must cease to exist as well. 0 Minutes!
I think that he had a mole at CBS.
“They didn’t need a mole.”
They shot themselves in the foot when the advertising promo didn’t match what actually aired.
bkmk
Nope, no mole was needed. 60 Minutes made the mistake of showing the real Harris in an ad, and then used the edited Harris in their broadcast. That was all that Trump needed to get his foot in the door.
Now it is possible that a mole was involved in the ad, but I suspect it was more having to provide content to meet a deadline and the clean-up of the interview was still being worked.
(of course I could be wrong, but still, no mole was needed, for once)
Love this!!
This isn’t exactly a new trick from 60 minutes. They’ve been doing it for more than half a century. In 1969, while I was working for GM, the show did a hit piece on the GM Corvair. They interviewed a GM executive named Frank Winchell (who went on to become a GN Vice President). When they aired the interview, they used different questions than were actually used in the interview. The new questions made the answers appear to give the opposite point of view from what was intended.
After that, GM vowed to never again appear on the show unless they actually made their own recording of it. There’s never been a GM spokesman on 60 Minutes ever since.
Wouldn't that make all of us plaintiffs then?
WOW. Interesting. And from 1969? Makes one wonder how many other interviews they did that to. The media are truly evil.
Maybe madcow , banjo Joe & ho deserve more than a pay cut.
Why is Rep. Jackson specifically added ?
Once you get the bad guys on the ground.
Then knee to throat.
It’s effective.
He should get two libraries since he is President twice (45 and 47).
I read a story a couple of months ago that Trump would settle this because he had previous business ties with Shari Redstone who is tied to Paramount.
It may have been in a Hollywood trade publication.
Looks like it’s the opposite.
Trump wants justice not a settlement.
What a joke 60 minutes is. Trump should sue for 60 Billion!
One billion per minute? I like it!
