It all seemed clear to Jared Kushner as he discussed the future of Gaza in an interview at Harvard University last February.
“I’m sitting in Miami Beach right now,” he said, referring to the offices of his new investment firm, Affinity Partners, in the coastal Florida city that has witnessed an eruption of skyscrapers and de-luxe hotels over the last decade.
Mr Kushner’s 11,000 sq ft headquarters boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, looking out over the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
Like Miami, Mr Kushner mused that Gaza possesses “very valuable” waterfront property and could become a hub for tourism – if the Gazan people were relocated, at least temporarily, out of the area.
Prof Tarek Masoud, the interview’s host, appeared shocked at the apparently off-hand remarks by Donald Trump’s son-in-law.
On Tuesday morning, after Donald Trump announced strikingly similar plans to turn Gaza into the “Riviera of the Middle East”, the world was barely talking about anything else.

I thought his days as an "advisor" were over but maybe not...
Gotta have peace first. Nobody wants to invest in slum areas.
OR Jared and PDJT may have been discussing such for some time and Jared was repeating the idea. Don’t forget PDJT once said to North Korea they had Prime waterfront property screaming for development.
Jared Kushner can form a private investment fund and invest all he wants of private money to turn Gaza into the “Miami Beach” of the Southeast Mediterranean. This whole idea of the US taking over and putting troops on the ground is a distraction from all the good Trump is doing. Trump needs to drop it and move on, and stop listening to Jared.
BREAKING: Articles of Impeachment are being brought against President Donald Trump over the threat of "ethnic cleansing in Gaza."
It only took them 2 weeks.

Haven’t you learned anything about how PDJT works?
I posted this comment on another thread:

One presser and both Iran and Hamas are begging for negotiations…,
That’s ridiculous
Yeah let stay stuck on stupid where the West pours billion in “redevelopment aid” to Gaza that the terrorist use to attack Israel instead.
Then we can continue to pay the Israelis billion to defend themselves.
That was the Caucus for Perpetual War in DC can continue enriching themselves off this bloodshed
If you don’t like the idea, present a solution rather then just knee jerk whining
Dastardly deeds
Ya got me. Stumped
It’s like they move from one to another
Ukraine grift ends so now we have this (before that Afghanistan and Iraq!)
Had enough of rebuilding yet?
I will ask the question again
You want to maintain the status quo then?
I think staying out of it is a good idea
Doesn’t answer the question
Do nothing means maintain the status quo
“At least temporarily”—bwahaha!!!
Trump’s proposal to Kim didn’t include clearly all of the Koreans out.
I never said it did. I was suggesting the origin of the idea for Gaza was more likely to have been Donald Trump instead of Jared Kushner.
How many dead American soldiers, terrorist attacks against Americans and American dollars would be too much to secure Gaza for the Israelis?
My answers would be: 1, 1 and $1
I’m curious what your answers would be.
As if there is a real possibility of Trump putting troops in Gaza?
Trump's Gaza comment is just like Trump's comments about Greenland, Panama Canal and Canada being the 51st state.
Trump wants something and his initial comments about all of those things are just his negotiation starting point.
Trump doesn't need to drop Gaza and move on. Please continue, Trump.
Gotta have peace first. Nobody wants to invest in slum areas.

Gaza also has huge offshore energy deposits. Problem is no oil company will invest in a terrorist state. Hamas needs to go, quickly.
Hamas, once gone,( and buried) the huge revenue from the energy deposits could build a rather nice sea side vacation resort. Trump can even put one of his best hotels on the beach.
And I am suggesting there’s not much similarity there, bucko.
