My wife is a master falconer. It is a LOT of work to have a bird for hunting. Daily weighing. Careful control of food to ensure the bird is strong enough to hunt and hungry enough to return to the glove. Over feed and the bird flies away. Constant training is a must. My wife isn't currently flying a bird because she isn't in good enough physical condition to do justice to the bird.
