A passenger on board a United Airlines flight from Houston to New York captured wild video of the wing of the plane catching on fire during takeoff Sunday morning.
Passengers and crew on United Airlines Flight 1382 were evacuated off the plane at George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport due to a "reported engine issue," the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed in a statement to Fox News Digital.
United Airlines also confirmed the incident and issued a statement saying that just after 8:30 a.m., on Sunday, Feb. 2, the crew of United Airlines Flight 1382 safely aborted its takeoff from the George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport in Texas due to a reported "engine issue."

“engine issue”
Gee......ya think?
I hate it when that happens...............
Imagine the engine fire at 35 000 ft. Yikes
Not Boing this time
Don’t worry. United Airlines Transgender Drag Queen CEO in “on it”
Somebody forget to put the gas cap back on?
Actually Boeing has been getting a bad rap since thzt door blew out.......most of these equipment failures can more than likely be attributed to maintenence issues.....or lack there of.
After all, if the engine in your 10 year old car blows up because you did not maintain it properly is it really the manufacturers fault?
Especially if your the one shooting the video from inside the jet. 😱
Try again 😏
Notice the silly twit thought capturing her own manufactured reaction (and her lovely Frenched nails) was more important than filming the burning engine.
Hillary would call it a right wing conspiracy.
OK, now that’s funny.
A Twilight Zone classic to be sure.
Rod Serling launched the acting careers of many who eventually became very famous actors....it’s a real shame he got very little if any recognition for doing so.
This actually happened to me.
Was flying back to the US from a installation job in Germany for my company.
Had a connection in Zurich, Switzerland to Atlanta, Delta of course.
We were waiting on the tarmac in line with a buch of other A/C waiting our turn for takeoff.
Captain came on the intercom and said that the A/C behind us had reported to the tower that smoke was coming from our port (left) engine.
All other A/C were then routed around us until we were by ourselves and the fire crews came and foamed down the entire A/C. It was like being in a gigantic carwash.
They sent buses to pick us all up as we were maybe a mile from the airport terminal and as we deplaned we could see and smell a steady stream of fuel pouring out of the left wing. All they had was a blue 55 gallon plastic drum under it to try and catch as much as they could.
We learned later that it was a fuel hose that had busted.
We had to be put up in a hotel in Zurich for the night which was very cool, as I got to see some of the city that evening.................
Wow
I agree. I flew Boeing aircraft for many, many years. They make an awesome product and I loved flying their jets.
