Frank Zappa said the most abundant element in the universe is stupidity.

He didn’t live one enough to see the hype of Generative AI.

There is not a day on LinkedIn where some Tech Bro or AI Influencer isn’t saying “Model X is a game-changer” or “Model X is gonna break the internet” or some other unproven nonsense.

All of these Gen AI models come with a ton of fanfare and marketing but zero validation, technical documentation, or anything resembling functional specs. They DO tend to come with a biased “test” showing just how bitchin’ is their model.

Deepseek is like Napster, or illegal immigration…at their cores, they’re all breaking the law or ethics and they suck unless you want pictures of a robot breakdancing in baroque era clothing.

Who wouldn't want to see that?

I guess AI has some uses. It can write an article for a left-wing online newspaper better than a left-wing journalist.

For me personally, what's the point of using AI when I have to double-check the information it gives me anyway?

A few weeks ago, I asked Google AI when Cleopatra died and it said 29 BC. The AI was wrong! When I confirmed with other sources, I found that she died in 30 BC.
