Tom was kinda wrong about that, some of it is pretty good.

The Highwaymen were fantastic, alone!
Me and Bobby Magee
Shotgun Willie
Honky Tonk Heroes
The high tide albums for those three then the creativity waned and they became the group.

Don’t know. I wouldn’t be caught dead actually listening to it.

Wait until Garth goes the Beyoncé route. He’s got the male mamms to jiggle them like Beyoncé.

I doubt it’s any less country than any other supposedly country fare today.
In other words garbage pop.

Crank up the money machine... Will there be a country/western Sex Pistols that come along and upend everything?

She is NOT country. I knew she’d win tons of awards after being snubbed at the CMAs. The Grammy Awards are worthless.

Fiddle and a banjo is more like bluegrass country. My GI father, who would be 102 this year, was an Okie who loved traditional country music, Hank Williams Sr, Tennessee Plowboys, early Johnny Cash. His arrogant son looked down his Philadelphia nose at such hick music, but as the son has aged, my love of classical music and intellectual jazz has gained a third lover, bluegrass and Americana, which captures what was once the essence of country music's origins.
Let Beyonce have country; I'll spend my $300 on tickets for dad and grown kids to see Allison Krauss, and also Kickstart money for Hillary Klug, for starters.

Ray Charles can melt butter in the freezer, his voice is that good.
Of a deeper sound is Conway Twitty though with the same result.
There are only a few like them around today, though Jason Aldean is well on his way to that level.
