An hour and forty-five minutes! Of what? And is there any credible evidence that he see what he says he sees?

One can only listen & make up their own minds.

I must be gifted - I’ve already made up my mind.

There is some evidence to consider.

If the Spirit or Angel (messenger)is isn’t giving a message from God, it aint the Holy Spirit or an angel. And the message it is tested by God’s Word.

Even if the tale is well-told, one can decline to listen and save an hour and a half.

Which is why I included the time commitment. I scan lots of headlines without reading the articles. I don’t feel the need to tell the poster I’m not interested in what they put up.

The subject interests me, but I do not want to step into a poorly explained expenditure of an hour and a half of time.

He also wrote a book. Here’s a short blurb:

“For as long as he can remember, Blake K. Healy has seen angels and demons. He sees them as clearly as he would see you if you were standing right in front of him. He sees angels dancing in worship services and whispering words of encouragement in people’s ears. He also sees demons latching on to people and perpetuating addiction and bitterness in their hearts.

The Veil chronicles how Blake matured in this gifting, while overcoming the fear and confusion of what he saw, how he learned to use his gift of seeing for God’s glory, and how to teach others to do the same.

“This new and updated version of The Veil also includes a brief guide on how to begin growing in the gift of seeing in the spirit yourself, as well as an appendix of scriptural references to the spirit realm and angels, along with Blake’s commentary on these passages.”

The video is probably less time than reading the book. If you’re interested in the topic, I think you’ll find it worth your time.

Thank you. Blake Healy sounds like a Swedenborg type, if he is speaking truthfully. There is a great deal of exaggeration and outright fraud in the field though, so I tend to look for proof of some sort.

I don’t know how one can prove that one sees what others cannot. He seemed an open & honest individual. I thought he misinterpreted Trump’s loss in 2020, thinking the country needed a breather. No, Trump needed it, & he’s come back like a lion. A blessing for all of us.

My family has experienced many paranormal incidents - esp, clairvoyance, a visitation by a departed family member. Even a UFO. So I guess I’m open to believing this can be true. Too many just want to shut their minds to these things. I try not to limit what God & his universe can do.

I too am a believer. While I and family members and friends have had a few paranormal experiences, I have a lot of skepticism as to paranormal claims due to fraud and fabrication being so common.

Nevertheless, a handful of mediums and psychics have been scientifically validated, and there is an entire field of evidential mediumship in which proof is obtained under tightly controlled conditions. Hypnotic regression is also credible in the proper circumstances, and there is interesting work on the physics of psychic experiences and events.

As for Blake Healey, his account is unusual in that few have reported anything like it. If his experience is true, I would expect more to describe seeing angels and demons as he claims.

I’m sure many with this ability don’t make it known, feeling that most people will just think they’re crazy.

I’ve twice been told I have a blue aura. Blue is my favorite color, but I wasn’t wearing blue when I was told this. The last lady said she tried to tell her eye doc about seeing auras. He didn’t believe her. Oh well...

I too used to scoff at claims of seeing auras. Then I learned that human color vision is more variable than is commonly realized. Some people, usually women, are thought to have tetrachromacy, meaning that, like some animals, they have not three but four types of color-sensing cone cells in the retinas in their eyes.

This provides an extra channel of light sensing into the ultraviolet range, with the visual processing center of the brain converting this into perception of a wider range of colors. I believe that this may account for people who see auras.

Sounds reasonable. But wouldn’t that mean everyone would have the same color aura? Why would it vary, person to person? Lots of questions & not many easy answers.

The evidence for auras being real is thin but cannot be rejected entirely. My interest in the subject began years due to a small dinner party I attended. After drinks and dinner, a supposed aura reader held the hands of each guest and delivered assessments of their auras with eyes half closed.

I was described as unusual in that the reader could not detect an aura because I was in a phase of being "emotionally closed off." My reply was "Yeah, I get that all the time unless I have three drinks in me." A round of laughter ensued and I apologized for being hard to read. No harm done.

That was close to but less than what I thought because my girlfriend had warned me to "be nice." The aura reading set up was a classic cold reading technique. Eyes half closed and holding hands with boozed up, chatty party guests was a way to pick up clues to personality and then express them as seeing their auras. As far as I know, it was just a bit of entertainment at a party and no one got swindled.

Is reading auras always a small trick or a delusion due to after images and skewed color perception? Not necessarily. There are scientifically tested and verified psychics who claim the ability to read auras, as have some remarkable psychics from history. Philosophically grounded adepts describe the aura as an extension of the human soul as it occupies the body.

Is that possible? Sure, but it would likely take a good slug of alcohol before someone could convince me that they have actually read my aura.

The first person who told me about my aura made her living as a psychic. The 2nd was a retired neighbor. There is certainly a lot of fraud & nonsense in this area. As in every other area of human existence.
