easily put her in a “preferred” position, which pushed aside more qualified non-DEI people

It also makes people sit up and take notice about the

I want to know what the standards are to be in that squadron - and was her flying time up to date ?
It is clear the family thought she and her background might take focus from her death and they wanted to clean it up. Fairly or unfairly worries on both sides.
Overall, Trump blames DEI for contributing to the accident. By this he means leftist social engineering at large. In and over the FAA and Controllers. In the military at large and possibly in specifics The WO had a thousand hours and was the Pilot-in-Command doing a check flight training for night evac of government officials. Likewise, the politicians, the FAA, civilian safety self-chosen experts, pilots and the military have complained of the proximity of Reagan airport to congestion. Nevertheless, the military has kept flight paths for military training in place in a turf war stance.
My first aircraft trips were with my 18 year old girl friend as the pilot 55 years ago. I know many fine women pilots.
We will find out that night vision limitations, switched runway, training route, not having a fourth spotter, altitude control, FAA staffing at that hour and in general and many factors played a part. Trump exempted the FAA from his hiring freeze executive order. Trump has focused on the military returning to its core mission and getting out of social engineering. I have young women family members in the US Army. Thank God for Trump at this hour in our history. Like Churchill after Dunkirk — like him or not, is our salvation.

Good question. 450 hrs over ten years doesn’t make one qualified IMHO. It certainly doesn’t make one qualified to conduct training in the use of night vision (if that rumor is true) in a congested flyway with general aviation all around. Heads need to roll over this.
She wasn’t conducting training. She was being certified by the more experienced WO for continuing training, an ongoing part of all pilots staying current. Night vision and this flight route we not selected by her, as the trainee, or by the Pilot performing her training. We don’t know yet who had the collective in-hand before and/or at the moment of collision.

Most helicopter crashes that I have heard about occurred at night or in bad weather,i.e. limited visibility.
I recall two other military helicopter crashes recently.
Congestion skies,and understaffed or or unfamiarity are going to be factors.
She was on a check-ride. The other pilot was a pilot-instructor. She obviously failed.

Being gay or female factors in not because those states affect flying to whatever degree but because they check two boxes and put her ahead of a more qualified candidate.
Years ago I had a 172. A good friends father was AA lines captain and a Navy pilot.
He would call me and ask to go flying when in Tulsa area.
Once we were flying around the local lakes, and he ask how many hours I flew last year. I told him about 50 PIC. His comment was, “ That’s enough to get you killed.”
One key thing. It was going to come out. All they did was raise suspicion. They released two members but held one back.
If you are going to do this, you say “One member’s name has been held back until all of the family can be reached”.

My concern is did the window pillars in the helo perfectly block the view as the two aircraft converged.

Her basketball coach was a home-schooling mother and still is a realtor.
Being home schooled in high school....it says nothing about if she was home schooled in grade school.

A number of people take their kids home for Jr high or high school. Not at all unusual. Allows kid to take college courses, focus on their interests travel and much more.

Also weird is that home schooled kids are usually from a conservative family. She was obviously a leftie since she worked for Biden in the White house.

The homeschool greater community is comprised of a number of subsets. Religious , political, free spirits, brainiacs, and folks that have special Interests such as actors, sailing or generally traveling, military, and isolated to name a few.
All with different ai.s and goals.
People do not have a clue about the freedom a family experiences when it is free of the clutches of school schedules, government or otherwise.
There’s reports on Twitter (X) that Rebecca Lobach the pilot of the Blackhawk worked as a White House aide in the Biden administration for the last two years and hadn’t flown during that time. True or not, I don’t know, but there are photos.

Her name was withheld for one clear reason: to scrub all her social and other records before it became public.
Altimeter was NOT off or incorrectly calibrated as helo was at proper 200’ max altitude until seconds before the collision.
Evidence to me is clear: collision was planned and intentional - at least in last few seconds of flight. Who had the helo controls at that time? Only God knows and likely no way we will ever know.
