Is that a Christmas amaryllis? I inherited several after my mother died, ghosts of Christmases past! I’ve put them all in the garden and they bloom around March. My neighbor also dropped off about 10 amaryllis bulbs - huge ones that she dug up out of her garden and wanted gone. I’ve seen similar bulbs in the garden stores for around $20/each.

Love love love the puppies!!

A local Walmart had amaryllis bulbs on clearance after Christmas years back for $1 each.

I bought every one I thought would survive.

The Cactus I have is actually a 'Thanksgiving' Cactus. Leaf shapes are different on the different varieties.

Bloom times can be tricky, too. Mine blooms around Thanksgiving, but then will also fully bloom again for me in late February. Mainly, because she is in a perfect spot in the house, in a south-facing window and I do fertilize her all year 'round.
