The Army announced Friday that at the request of the female pilot’s family, it is withholding the name of one of three Black Hawk helicopter crew members killed in the mid-air collision with a passenger plane over the Potomac River while the plane was on final approach Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C., Wednesday night. The Army said the name “will not be released at this time”, leaving open the possibility of later public identification.

“Well, 500 flying hours is not much flying experience by military standards.”
If someone is flying in command of that type of aircraft and has 500 hours, then it is DEFINITELY someone promoted by DEI standards. Even 500 hours for a co-pilot is very low as they should build up flight experience in simpler aircraft, at least based on what I’ve been reading.
I don't blame the family here. Losing a child is incredibly difficult, but the public debasement that will follow public disclosure of the name is unfathomable.
My statement is 100% correct.
I did not state that Jo Ellis was the pilot. I merely stated that “Jo Ellis is man.”
Any word on how many of those 500 hours were in a ‘simulator’?
Leaked by Monday
“Jo Ellis wrote on Facebook on Friday”
Was Newsweek watching her type? I doubt it, so I’m still waiting for confirmation that it wasn’t her.
Not everyone shares the view of an experienced crew.
Pilot was a captain. Branch transfers into aviation are fairly common (explaining the relatively low hours for that rank).
“Leaked by Monday”

Sad that that’s how we find out instead of our own government officials informing us.
The chopper was unwomaned.
Him/he. That’s a guy
Methinks lots of confusion from mortuary affairs on scene. Army manifest says 1 female and 2 males....but they count 3 peckers.

As Sgt. Joe Friday used to say, “Just the facts.”
A name.
With a name, a picture and a social media presence can be found.
With that us folk with common sense can figure out the rest.
touché!
The name will be leaked (directly or indirectly) either by someone in the flying unit, the mortuary, or friends, relatives or acquaintances at some point. It can’t be a secret forever.
Given today’s ravenous media, I would certainly want some time to get away to an ‘undisclosed location’. Regardless of the particular circumstances.
Interesting. I’m sure that Hegseth and Trump will be transparent after they find out.

Cover-up Mode 100%
Can a family of a US Army soldier tell the United States of America they can’t do an autopsy on a soldier?
Ridiculous. Cover-up in progress.
“This B Company commander should be asked why they did not enforce a second Crew Chief to be on that flight.”
I think the B company commander may have been the 500-hour pilot-in-command in the right seat. We’ll see.
I mentioned two days ago, this could very likely have been a suicide.
This what’s possibly a tranny pilot that was not happy with Trump’s new policies towards DEI.
