It makes me happy every time scientists turn out to be wrong.

These scientists are our most brilliant people, and we want them to be wise as well. A huge part of wisdom is knowing the limits of one’s knowledge.

wow... this is as if someone planned this whole ecological system and man is just finding out about this... makes sense that fish need oxygen in the water and whoa, there is a way.

Dark Brandon produces a mighty wind. But he does not produce oxygen.

We need to sequester all the carbon before it combines with this “new” source of oxygen and creates that CO2 pollutant.

I would think it more chemical than via electrolysis. It’s not like the rocks formed and all of a sudden were cast into saltwater. The deposition of metals and oxygen creation would have to be part of the same reaction.

Very interesting. Not sure I like the name Dark Oxygen though., and there is no room on the periodic table for it.

Christmas Valley Oregon is in a dry part of the state but is able to grow bounty crops of hay and alfalfa because of irrigation from very deep wells. The area was once an ancient lake but filled in and covered with ash from nearby volcanic Mt. Mazama (Crater Lake).

I was recently told that the pumps often get plugged with tiny blind fish.

We used to get a weekly reader in grade school. The article is written for that level.

And this is not new science.

Lol. Wrong again. If you really want to gore their oxen just ask where the transitional fossils are. Or what caused the Cambrian Explosion.

2H20 = 2 O + 4 H.

What happens to the Hydrogen? Hydrocarbons? Is this why the second most common liquid on the planet is oil?

if these formations are producing O2 from H2O, why is there no mention of the H in the articles? Where does the H go?

This is factually incorrect and a click-bait title.

Yes, oxygen is created by plants from CO2 but we already manufacture oxygen in labs. It’s a pure chemical process. So to say that oxygen ONLY comes from plants is… stupid. But then that’s the shortsightedness you get from eco”scientists” today.

This (”science”) was rewritten already, a few years ago, when “life” was discovered to exist WITHOUT LIGHT at the bottom of the ocean. A whole ecosystem living without photosynthesis.

How? NUMBER ONE, the “science” was WRONG!

Escaping gases and heat from volcanic thermal vents ALSO gives life.

Science, for the most part is an educated guess. Some “guesses” are more accurate than others. 999 studies can be wrong while the 1 can be correct.
