Braga Fresh Recalls Broccoli Florets Sold At Walmart Over Listeria Concerns
Federal officials have upgraded a chocolate recall to the highest risk level over fears that consuming the product could “cause serious adverse health consequences or death.”
Three products from Cal Yee Farm — Dark Chocolate Almonds, Dark Chocolate Apricots and Dark Chocolate Walnuts — have been given a Class 1 classification for containing undeclared milk, according to the FDA.
Undeclared milk in food products can lead to serious health issues for people with milk allergies, including hives, cramps, dizziness, swollen vocal cords and unconsciousness, and cause death, according to the FDA’s update, which was issued on Jan. 22.

Ever since I toured the plant in Zurich, Lindt is my favorite.
that bites...
Fortunately, I detest chocolate.
“containing undeclared milk”
We let in tens of millions of undeclared aliens, so what’s the big deal about some undeclared milk? Did the milk forget to fill out its Declaration Form?
I went to Walgreens today and bought my wife a $6.00 Russell Stover heart filled with 7 chocolates of different types. I went there for garbage bags and came home with chocolate, too. So far, we’re both still kickin’.
“church key”
LOL...how many FReepers will understand that?
“Labeling problem only.”
You have to wonder how an error like that could be made. I doubt these were new products and the old label must have been acceptable. Did they change the label and somebody forgot to put “contains milk products” on the label? Seems like a real fundamental screw-up.
What’s bad is the product doesn’t contain e-coli or listeria or some other deadly pathogen. It’s just the words on the packaging at fault.
More for me. :)
I think we'd have to nuke the planet just to be sure that no one else made that combo.
That Hershey’s syrup made the best snow ice cream. yum 😋 I do remember the magic that came in the can, and opening with a church key.
Absolutely. But it is not the poisoned food drama some are making it out to be.
If eating dark chocolate is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
“church key”
“LOL...how many FReepers will understand that?”
Counting you......only 2 so far. 😁
It comes back to the old saying, “You Had One Job”
Hey - my Argentinian beef tins have church keys on them.
Nobody told Argentina that they’re outdated. :)
Dark chocolate peanut butter pretzel bites.
Remember it well! We usually had a (church key opened) can in the fridge, also.
It’s a certain brand, not chocolate overall.
What a dishonest headline!
No doubt you’re right. And the company should have labeled things correctly. But I still think the headline is scaremongering.
