What is Buc-ee's arguement? That the dog is a trans-species ripoff?

Sounds like a Buc-ee’s lawyer is looking for something to do.

screw buccees ... stopped in once never again ... they actually pay water police to follow you around so you don’t fill your water bottle. I was buying about 40 bucks worth of stuff and just left it there and walked out ...

Okay ... they’re both animals facing the same general direction with a circle background. Other than that, I see no resemblance. Get over it, Buc-ee’s.

Much too similar. Bucees will win.

Each location treats that differently. Their official statement is it has to be a washable mug. Period. Nothing specifying that it has to be a Bus-ee’s container. I see folks filling water jugs all the time in Buc-ee’s ... never a problem.

The owner has to protect his trademark, even if it’s not that close and they might lose. If the owner doesn’t continually protect it, he could lose the right or standing to sue in another situation. It’s why Disney was so zealous over almost anything with those round ears.

Not similar at all.

The Buc-ee character does not extend to the border of the circle. The dog not only goes to the end, but extends beyond.
The fill in the circle background is a completely different color.
The Beaver is looking Northeast, the Dog is looking SSW.
Buc-ee is wearing a hat, the dog is bareheaded.
The name SUPERFUELS could not POSSIBLY be confused with BUC-EES
The dog has a cape, and calls himself super. I think Warner/DC’s property Krypto has more of a case.

Beavers have bad eyesight, so the dog looks like a beaver to him. Stop being a D!ck Buc-ee’s

I guess the adult toy store that uses an F instead of the B is in trouble.
