Why carry a handgun with a safety? Because some idiot cop might shoot you in your leg when pulling it from your holster.
Usually "Glock Leg" is from the owner but in this case it was from a cop.

Some people just should not be LEO’s
This is my town.
Correct me if I’m wrong but unless you apply the alec baldwin “the gun went of on it’s own” rule, she had to have pulled the trigger.
one has to squeeze fairly hard to override the glock trigger feature (not safety) to fire
guessing she was pulling hard with some underlying anger at the time, imho
Inside the waistband is not a very ready, or comfortable position to carry, while driving.
I usually place my device on the center console tray, where it is easy to retrieve, but not uncomfortable.
Also, if asked to exit the vehicle, it is not involved in a pat-down, where an inept public servant might shoot me.
Life in America has become one long Three Stooges episode.
She stupored it all right.
Clear case of finger on the trigger.
She should know better.

Absolutely. She's incompetent but there's also the issue of certain handguns not having a manual safety. Glocks in particular don't.
It doesn't matter if you "keep your finger off the trigger" or "get a good holster" when someone else is handling the firearm.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office will pay out handsomely because this inept officer should never have been disarming a driver for a routine traffic stop. They'll settle out of court because their lawyers don't want to admit the officers at the scene violated protocol, violated the driver's rights, and at least this officer had insufficient training in disarming someone.
I’d charge her with criminal negligence and as part of her sentencing handcuff her to a blue training pistol 24/7 for a year of parole. Force her to carry it everywhere - bathroom, shower, bed, etc.
The older I get, the more I think it always has been. It was just easier to mask it in the past.
Nicked the femoral artery; quick bleed out if not for quick thinking.
He’s lucky to be alive.
