Yes, this is right up by my favorite ski mountain.
Jay Peak. Which has received over 200 inches of snow so far this winter season.
My great-uncle was promoted to captain in the NYNG to participate in the Mexican punitive expedition of 1916-17.
He was able to parlay that into an appointment to Pershing’s staff when he went to France to show Kaiser Bill what for, I don’t know that he ever hear a gun fired from his apartment in Paris.
We should all be much more concerned about what goes on in Mexico than what goes on in Syria, or Ukraine.
I’ve run into Border Patrol roadblocks on I-91 and I-93 in the past, but not since 2009.
Thanks for the update 👍
There is a lot of illegal activity in that area... Canadian natives are heavily into smuggling cigarettes, drugs, etc... May have been something related to that, but they smuggle humans too.
Canadian natives are heavily into smuggling cigarettes, drugs, etc...
*************
Smuggling..... Is that in or out of the USA
In and out of both countries... Indigenous populations have duel citizenships, so they can go back and forth without a whole lot of trouble. Making them perfectly adept at smuggling goods.
I’ve never been stooped but I often see those green and white Border Patrol SUVs on the side of the road. I wonder if they’re specifically looking for Canadian plates.
I’ve read that they don’t have actual dual citizenship but because of one or more treaties they get special ID cards and are able to cross the border easily.
He got it, and in record time.
There used to be a rule in the former INS: DFWI (Don’t f*(k with Indians).
So predictable, Biden and his people have lots of blood on their hands. They must be psychotic not to be bothered by this reality.
I think it is interesting that they have NOT released the names of the individuals involved.
Especially IF there is one still not in custody.
This is not just some random stop on the highway of people being smuggled into the US from Canada IMHO.
Most likely this is a cartel member.
Either a human or drug smuggler.
Also, the gun was not purchased at the Bass Pro Shop or any other legal firearm retailer.
It will also be interesting IF the dead perp has a criminal record. Was he arrested and released ?
Then the judge has the DEAD cops blood on their hands.
But as you said above, it's not the crossing at Jay peak, it's further to the Northeast at a major crossing. I've been thru the crossing N of Jay decades ago for a Molson run, back when Brador and Molson Export were not available in the U.S. A very sleepy crossing, we had our car, a Black BMw 2002, thoroughly inspected for drugs and when the Canadian Border cop found a kodak film cannister in the glovebox he literally exclaimed "Ah HA" only to find film.
A buddy had a place up in Cannan, VT on the lake. One side was in VT. The other in PQ. He bought it because he loved to snowmobile in the winter.
He could rent it out too because it was lakefront.
We crossed the border to go to a club over the border. They pulled one of our buddies out of the car because he had a dark skin tone. He looked like he was Hispanic. Though he was really Italian. Then questioned him for about ten minutes. He had an NH ID too.
When I was living in Orchard Park, NY(home of the Bills)we would also cross the border to buy Brador and Molson Extra Stock. This was back in the 1980s when beer in NY was low alcohol content. There were also Gentlemen’s clubs in Fort Erie, Ontario. I went there one time in the 1990s and Jim Kelly was there with a couple of the other Bills players.
Felix Bauckholt, a German citizen who overstayed an H1-B immigrant visa and was thus illegally residing in the country....
Name and nationality of the female shooter still unknown.
There were also Gentlemen’s clubs in Fort Erie, Ontario.
When I was in Detroit, we had the “Windsor Ballet”.
One was a German male on an expired visa. His partner, a female of unknown name and nationality, is the one who started shooting.
Ah, the good old days in the 80's. I can still vividly recall putting the Bradors and exports in the snowbank in front of the car at Jay Peak as our reward when we finished the day skiing. Little things like that were things we still talk/laugh about to this day.
Does anyone remember Black Label beer in New york? It was my father’s favorite, and what I wouldn’t give to have a taste of it.
