Donald Trump's announcement last month of Stanford professor Dr. Jay Bhattacharya as his nominee to be the next director of the National Institutes of Health further intensified the controversy—and alarm—about what the second Trump administration will mean for American science and medicine.
Bhattacharya is an actual physician. He also has a Ph.D. in economics, and a track record of reputable scholarship focusing on policy questions related to public health. But there is no question that Bhattacharya owes his nomination to one thing: his emergence early in the COVID pandemic as a vocal critic of the public health consensus that favored social distancing to mitigate the spread of the virus. Bhattacharya was one of the three co-authors of the “Great Barrington Declaration,” an October 2020 statement that called for “focused protection” for the elderly and other vulnerable groups while letting the virus spread through the rest of the population until herd immunity was reached.
At the time, most scientists thought it was a terrible idea. Among them was then-NIH director Dr. Francis Collins; a few days after the statement was posted, he emailed National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci, referring to Bhattacharya and his colleagues as “fringe epidemiologists” and suggesting “a quick and devastating published take down” of the statement. Bhattacharya, who later obtained that email via the Freedom of Information Act, told a congressional subcommittee in March 2023 that he and his colleagues were “targeted for censorship” and “targeted for suppression by federal officials” because their arguments were a threat to the establishment’s “illusion” of scientific consensus.
Is Bhattacharya’s claim of broad censorship true?

Biden pardoned Dr. Fauci literally today.
So he will recognized the brilliance of printing more money if you don't have enough to go around.
Bhattacharya is a wounded bear. He will go after Fauci with relish.
It’s obvious that Fauci knows he committed crimes, even if those crimes were committed with the best of intentions because he had tunnel vision. He knows.
Subpoena him to testify under oath in front of Congress.
Design a perjury trap so that he has to give information, or commit perjury.
I am at the point I don’t truly care about the information with this puke. We already know it.
He thinks he is pretty smart and can avoid committing perjury. He reminds me of Alger Hiss, who felt the same way. They have much in common.
Fauci is corrupt and treasonous. He is also arrogant and haughty. And he thinks his power base and allies will protect him.
Alger Hiss was exactly the same.
Hiss thought he could outwit any prosecutors, and he arrogantly accepted that he was far smarter and more mentally agile than them.
Hiss was convicted of perjury and served three years and eight months.
The Bulwark is great for their unintentional comedy... great for unintentional comedy gold nearly every single day.
Basically these are people who worked on Jeb Bush’s campaign, and want the world to go back to the Pre Trump world.... They are the RINO’s etc.
Anything from them is 1000% biased against Trump and anything MAGA.... they are full on TDS stage 5 across the board.
Reader’s Digest version of the posted article: Trump-hating, MAGA-hating “The Bulwark” begrudgingly laments that Jay Bhattacharya was correct all along about everything he said, and yet desperately tried to minimize and denigrate Jay and everything Jay did or said ...
Fauci’s not the main issue.
The PREP Act and similar legislation need to be repealed.
Great...now he has to testify and admit to his crimes. Otherwise it’s obstruction or perjury.
I don’t care how. I just want to see heads on pikes. With the pardon fauchi has admitted guilt. Otherwise, what need does have of a pardon? The pardon from guilt also does not carry immunity from prosecution. Too bad that.
Pardon or not investigate Fauci. Just put out a report that says were it not for the pardon he would have been convicted of perjury at least. That’s how we do it now right?
You give Fauci too much credit, even though he is deserving of none. His sole motive was to rake in millions of dollars personally. He knew that hydroxychloroquine & Ivermectin were safe & effective in combating the Covid corona virus.
I gave the best scenario possible.
It doesn’t mean I believe the best scenario is what happened. I’m more inclined that he was looking for a final payday before he retired.
A reckoning is all fine and good, but first things first.
Separation of duties.
Checks and balances.
Eliminate conflicts of interest.
Restock supplies.
Eliminate foreign dependencies.
Deregulate what needs to be deregulated.
Dismantle what needs to be dismantled.
Return to states what needs to be returned to states.
Why? What was you motivation for doing so? If you do not even believe your own statement, why even put it out there? Are you afraid of being sued or something?
FAUCI IS PURE EVIL!!
No question. But there is a lot of multitasking that can take place. It would be a miscarriage to let that bastard walk off and enjoy his ill-gotten gains.
(I don’t care how. I just want to see heads on pikes)
Hand Fauci over to an international criminal court.
Fauci murdered people in other countries too.
THIS is the one exception I’ll give for such a thing.
Let other countries extradite Fauci for his crimes.
So the pedophiles at The Bulwark are butt hurt.
Good.

Hess should have faced a firing squad.
Without a mask.
