I was incensed that Roberts didn't even wait for Melania to get the Bibles to Trump before the swearing-in started--much less waiting for the rest of the family to gather behind Trump.
OOPs—Left off the vanity tag. Sorry!
Make Robert’s do it again!
They try to be very precise with swearing in at 12:00 and done by :01....they were about a minute late and trying to catch up....probably.
By my clock Vance was just completed at 12:00
ROBERTS IS EVIL!!
Okay, thanks, I feel better now!
The only important question is, is Trump sworn in now?
Maybe Judge Roberts was a little nervous. He seemed a bit jumbled a few years ago while swearing in Barack.
Didn’t the judge make some minor error the first time, and had to re-swear Barack in a second time?
In spite of being one of the most famous people walking the earth today, I don’t think Judge Roberts is used to literally being in the spotlight, where the whole world is watching. He prefers the obscurity of law and academia..
He had probably been mentally rehearsing every word he was supposed to say and every place on the floor, that he was supposed to stand in.
Im mad!
ugh hope youre right :(
I think it was because they were late, and still swearing in Vance at noon, but if I were a cynic, I’d say Roberts did it to give dems a talking point that Trump didn’t put his hand on the Bible. Cynicism is an evil emotion, though, so I choose to believe my first point.
Why should he, since Roberts is a traitor.
That reprobate demonic Obama creature would have it intentionally flubbed in order for a later do over out of camera view, no doubt to allow for using a Koran to replace the Holy Bible.
He was busy. He had to get out of there to buy an Irish baby, stop by a gay judges reception and catch a jet to Malta.
Traitor Roberts has Long TDS and is a minion of Satan?
It was odd that Trump didnt have his hand on the bible.
At least he recited the oath correctly in accordance with the constitution (unlike with Obama).
I think it was just the clock.
I know that the weather, and moving the inauguration indoors, was very disappointing for lots of people. But I kind of liked the indoor ceremony; it felt more intimate, and we all could see and hear everything on television...
We were wondering the same thing!
They’ll probably do it again later with the Bible
