When 1,009 registered voters were asked for their one-word verdict, the most popular answer was: Good.
The results come in the latest J.L. Partners poll for DailyMail.com, just ahead of Trump's inauguration on Monday.
It found that voters overwhelmingly believe tackling illegal immigration and deportations should be Trump's priority on day one.
Starting mass deportations was seen as most important by 23 percent of respondents.
Next came sealing a peace deal with Ukraine, cited by seven percent, and removing tax on tips (one of Trump's most eye-catching campaign promises), on six percent.

After the 2026 Mid-term Election, Trump will offer a "Really Hard Path To Citizenship Amnesty" to every remaining immigrant.
There will be no consequential changes to H-1B employment.
Currently, there are approximately one million foreign workers in the USA under some legal derivative of H-1B.

Almost all the Biden immigrants have requested Asylum.
By International Treaty and USA law, they are entitled to their Day in Court, plus multiple Appeals.
Last time I checked, Asylum Hearings have been scheduled for the next seven years!
If they get denied, they get another 2-3 years for Appeals.
In the mean time, you and I are buying their food and paying their rent.
We can go after every single tether that allows them to stay. Money. Schools. Healthcare. Drivers Licenses. Everything. Nail their lives to the wall so that they are begging to go home.
Under the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 and 1965, President Trump has very significant powers over illegal immigrants and their origin countries.
However, immigrants who claim Asylum have special rights.
Trump would probably have to go to court and prove that the current situation is a massive Asylum fraud - which it obviously is.
He will get maximum legal push back from the Political Left.
In his first term, Trump sent Hard Left government lawyers into court to argue every Conservative immigration case.
Obviously, those lawyers lost or indefinitely postponed every case.
In my opinion, Trump has always been an Immigration Dove who pretends to be an Immigration Hawk to get elected.
I think Trump will secure the Border and expel the criminals.
As to the millions of Asylum seekers - Trump will do nothing consequential to remove them.
