Why was the LA basin reprieved from the recent fires?
So did the high paying tax payers of Pacific Palisades/(LA County) get their moneys worth from the fires?
Thank you for stating facts.
It wasn’t. LA is built to burn, it’s always had a ton of fires. This one is bigger than most, but it’s by no means rare. Woolsey in 2018, Sayre 2008, Kagel Canyon in 2017, ANF in 2020. LA burns.

LA alway burns.
Hollywood Hills in north did have a fire but it was extinguished licketysplit. the hills are the high wind area, not the flat area.
One could argue the 50+ million they spent on dei initiatives could’ve been spent on prevention measures.
Because it was really a massive brush fire
The the basin doesn’t have much brush
Brushes is in the hills...
The basin is what surrounded by the hills
That’s why it’s called “the basin”
Because these were brush fires. Brush grows on the hillsides.
Why? The areas that burned r where the tracks for the bullet train would be set. Now the property value is a lot less. Remember North Carolina floods. One of the largest lithium deposits in the world. R all of these disasters just coincidences.
Then they shouldn't rebuild all the homes and yes, there should be a fire break here and there.
Put in a creek instead. If they can't do that, put a bunch of rocks there instead.
...Brushes is in the hills...
The basin is what surrounded by the hills...

Some of us live where the land is flat. Not a baren waste land of a desert. We have lakes and rivers and farmland.
Only certain areas had the combination of very high winds and available dry brush in quantity. In fact, one FReeper in the area was accusing the wind reports of being made up, because it wasn’t very windy where he / she was. But, in fact, in such terrain, the winds can vary tremendously. So does the vegetation.
“So did the high paying tax payers of Pacific Palisades/(LA County) get their moneys worth from the fires?”
Silly rhetorical question.
