It’s the price of being a woman — or married to one. One wife has revealed that her husband pays a “woman tax,” coughing up over $200 every single month — or nearly $2,500 per year.
“This tax is to compensate me for the fact that I have to have a period every single month, have two brutal pregnancies where I vomited most days and then I had two C-sections,” explained cashed-up content creator Camilla in a viral video on TikTok, which has scored 632,000 views.
“Women honestly have such a hard time,” Camilla said, quipping that men “should be paying woman tax.” She said that she also wants to set an example for her kids “that they should be taken care of and also to take care of themselves.” While unorthodox, Camilla’s “woman tax” method was praised by female fans in the comments.

Wait til he sends her a bill for protection/security, car maintenance, lawn care services, garbage collection, snow removal, household repairs, appliance repair, and of course therapist bills/being her emotional tampon.
I'd call it a stipend. I think the term "allowance" is too demeaning for an equal partner, personally. Allowances are for children; stipends are for adults.

If they shared accounts and finances, there would be no need to “pay” her anything. Why is this no longer a thing with younger people? How can there be trust between a husband and wife if they have separate finances?
