Lahaina woman recounts fleeing to the ocean to survive
Hawaii Public Radio ^ | February 7, 2024 | Catherine Cruz

Resident Etina Hingano was at home on the afternoon of Aug. 8, 2023. The noise of the wind-fueled fire approaching her apartment near Front Street was unlike anything she had heard before.

"It was so loud and echoing throughout the whole Front Street area," she said. "I went outside and we looked up at Lahainaluna and all I saw was almost like a sideways tornado

...Hingano fled toward the ocean to escape the flames. She said she waited in the water for nine hours before she was rescued by the Maui Fire Department.

I know the hurricane winds started at 5 a.m....it scared me because branches were breaking off and they were just flying in the air

.... you could hear like the pop, pop, pop, pop. We're like, oh, something's exploding or popping

The USA's most valuable real estate is located in Lahaini, Hawaii, but was consumed in a catastrophic wildfire because fire mitigation protocols had been abandoned and dry brush left to accumulate to catastrophic proportions.

The USA's second most valuable real estate is located in Palisades, California, but was consumed in a catastrophic wildfire because fire mitigation protocols had been abandoned and dry brush left to accumulate to catastrophic proportions.

Coincidence?

Add that to the Pali fire and it really makes you go hmmmm. How many people have given up their land in Hawaii?

I think not (not a coincidence). Just as they wiped out the middle class, they are now trying to wipe out the lower rich class. In both cases they also seek their prime real estate. Another smart city locale? I also think this will move Hollywood and expedite the move of many businesses.

They most assuredly will not turn it into housing for the poor. It seems as if this is all a prelude to something else. What is next? Manhattan?

Etina Hingano fled from the fire with an 80 year old man, Freeman Tam Lung, who was her neighbor.

He did not make it.

I don’t think there was any dry brush on Front Street,
but almost the whole town was wood.

I know of someone who fled their car on Front Street and stood in the water on the coral reef, which shredded their shoes, for four hours while holding an infant. Absolute nightmare.

The republicans should investigate “cui bono” for both fires. No doubt there were significant increases in net worth for various politicians. Sort of like insider trading, knowing what disaster was imminent.

“Coincidence?”

My experience over the years tells me a coincidence is seldom a coincidence.

“wind-fueled fire”

Another example of our idiotic news reporters. Wind does not fuel a fire. The fuel is what’s burning such as wood. The wind is essentially a rapid source of oxygen.

I’m impressed that ‘public radio’ didn’t call her a Lahainx woman.

🚨 #BREAKING: Maui Police Chief John Pelletier, who gave the order to TRAP VICTIMS IN THE LAHAINA FIRE, has now been named as a co-conspirator in the Diddy case

Pelletier ALSO happened to be the Incident Commander during the Las Vegas shootıng.

Pelletier FORCIBLY took a Diddy victim at gunpoint from Vegas to California to be r*ped by Diddy by posing as a sheriff executing a fake warrant, according to the suit.

Even after these incidents occurred, Pelletier was STILL named Chief of Maui Police, and the devastating fires happened shortly after.

Many questions have loomed as to whether or not children went missing after the fires, where entire families disappeared without a trace.

The government disputes this claims, and they have not been verified.

This story goes MUCH deeper than what we already know.
