Blumenthal Statement on the Death of Judge Jeffrey Meyer
Senator Blumenthal, US Senator ^ | 1-13-2025 | RIchard Blumenthal

[HARTFORD, CT] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) today issued the following statement on the death of United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut Jeffrey Meyer:

“Judge Meyer was a brilliant legal thinker, a relentlessly fair jurist, and a wonderful human being. He epitomized the ethos of doing justice from the bench with courage, compassion and strength. He was endlessly kind and generous, and I was proud to count him as a friend. My heart and thoughts go out to his family.”

A very important victory for the MAGA agenda.

This young Obama appointed judge was on active service, not senior status, so there is a new open vacancy for DJT to fill. A small part of Obama's "legacy" goes down the drain. It is definitely a welcome surprise gift for Trump as the outgoing Senate failed to block Biden last rounds of appointees and they had to make a deal to ram them through (yes Thune failed)

the CT district court is now 8-1 with Biden/Obama vs. Trump appointees. Now it will be 8-2.

I guess I can say THANK YOU to the judge for your early retirement and your generous contribution to MAGA.

Is this like stolen valor applauding a military hero?

in all honesty, i simply don’t care what he died of. I only care that we have a federal judgeship to fill.

Judicial appointments are a critical part of MAGA.

I also want to point out that the vacancy is for the New Haven courthouse which would be Yale University territory. So it is crucial that we get a sane and ethical judge in that spot.

Coming from Blumenthal's mouth, that means the guy was a biased, anti-American scumbag.

Long illness....supposedly he had good credentials prior to appointment. Supposedly spent time in Nicaragua working on human rights violations...that place is total political chaos..wonder what he did or learned to do while there...was he giving legal aid to Ortega? Or advising opponents of Ortega...
The less than revealing comments about his work and the cause of his “long illness” and nice comments from Blumenthal and make me wonder what this guy really was doing. Get a MAGA judge in there. We got a country to save.

I assume if Blumenthal is praising this judge, he was of the progressive/activist variety.

"Danang Dick"

Sounds like something you'd catch from the boom-boom house.
