‘Can’t Be Trusted, At All!’ Steve Bannon Slams Mark Zuckerberg After Pivot Toward MAGA
Mediaite ^ | 1/13/2024 | Alex Griffing

Posted on 01/13/2025 4:42:03 PM PST by Miami Rebel

Former Trump White House advisor turned MAGA-world podcaster, Steve Bannon, remained unconvinced on Monday that Mark Zuckerberg’s latest moves at Meta mean the CEO has actually bought into any of President-elect Donald Trump’s agenda or the MAGA movement.

Zuckerberg raised eyebrows and grabbed headlines last week when he announced that Meta would do away with its fact-checking and phase in a “more comprehensive community note system” – as Elon Musk’s X has done. Zuckerberg also said Meta would move its “trust and safety and content moderation teams out of California, and our US-based content review is going to be based in Texas,” also following Musk’s geographic moves with some of his companies.

Axios described Zuckerberg’s latest moves in stark terms, writing, “They say it’s hard to turn a battleship around, but Mark Zuckerberg just about-faced his globe-spanning, $1.5 trillion-value, 3 billion-user company — transforming Meta from a bastion of Silicon Valley’s socially progressive neoliberalism into a full-on MAGA hive.” Bannon, however, made clear he isn’t buying and told his MAGA followers they shouldn’t either.

“The corporations are all down there right now with their little million dollar checks and they want to come to the you know, they want to come to the inauguration. They want to wear black tie and pal around and go to all the receptions. That’s all fine. That’s part of an American tradition,” Bannon said, adding:

But those corporations, and particularly the tech corporations, there’s some comments I have in the New York Post today with the great Miranda Devine talking about Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg can’t be trusted — at all! He came in the Oval Office. They allowed him in the Oval Office when I was there, and I went absolutely bonkers.

But he still got to the Oval Office and later he put up $450 million of his own money to steal the 2020 election. To steal the 2020 election. These guys are supplicants now because President Trump is coming in with the American people, have his back. But after six months, a year of hard fighting and resistance at the administration and deep level and the corporations is Zuckerberg and these guys can they be counted on? Only thing they can be counted on is look after their own self-interest. That’s it.

Bannon has also fought publicly with Musk in recent weeks. “He is a truly evil guy, a very bad guy. I made it my personal thing to take this guy down,” Bannon told an Italian newspaper over the weekend. “Before, because he put money in, I was prepared to tolerate it; I’m not prepared to tolerate it anymore.”

Musk and Bannon open a civil war within MAGA over high-skilled foreign worker visas, which Bannon wants to see restricted and Musk argues are a key part of his businesses. Bannon has also slammed Musk in the past for his ties to China and suggested he is not loyal to the United States. “I will have Elon Musk run out of here by Inauguration Day,” Bannon vowed in his weekend interview, excerpts of which were published in Breitbart.

“they get to exploit the American people for another four years.”

In the real world everyone exploits everyone to the extent possible. I offer to pay you for some favor, we negotiate and we come to a mutually satisfactory arrangement.

What we are seeing is the tech oligarchs. They are easy to notice because they are celebrities.

The REALLY important people run the investment funds (Blackrock, etc).

Btw, in re techbro’s nobody seems to be talking about non-celebrity Larry Ellison (Oracle). #4 on Forbes. He’s been Trump since before 2020.

Last time they fought Trump tooth and nail. This time they will try flattery. Zuckerberg is still the same globalist, censoring turd.

The notion that the tech oligarchs are “bending the knee” with an iota of commitment to policy is a joke. As Bannon asserts, it’s self-interest. And their loyalty is to wherever the greatest payoff is.

A reminder that France was very important for the success of our American Revolution.

There is a range of loyalty. Some are converts, musk has shown a good heart for the cause.

I am all for testing Zuckerman. Let’s see what he is made of.

Larry Fink, Blackrock

Another “Baron” being friendly.
https://nypost.com/2024/11/22/business/larry-fink-could-have-trumps-ear-no-matter-who-gets-treasury-job/

“Who are these back-channel advisers? I don’t know all of them, but one name I do know is Larry Fink, the very non-MAGA CEO of BlackRock. Fink is often associated with the Democratic Party given his support for progressive Environmental Social Governance investing, but he’s close to Trump; he had managed The Donald’s vast fortune in the past and the two still talk.”

I watched the first 30 minutes of Rogan’s interview with Zuckerberg. I found it on Rumble. It’s more than two hours long.

They talked about censorship. He said the Biden administration leaned on him hard when it came to Covid reporting. He said at least in the US, you can get your day in court, not so around the world. When the Biden admin turned on Facebook, it was open season around the world and governments sued Facebook to the tune of $30Billion. He hopes Trump will stand up for a US company. Also, an attack came from an unexpected source. Elizabeth Warren heads the consumer financial bureau which suddenly took an interest in Facebook.

I don’t know if they will get to Zuckerbucks, drop-boxes and so on.

He came across as interested in business rather than as an ideologue. I think he accommodates government, anybody’s government. Is he loyal to MAGA? Not so much. Is he loyal to Donald Trump. Maybe for the next four years. Then somebody else.

Is he a Giuliani, Bannon, or Navarro? Definitely not.

He and Musk kind of remind me of Wernher von Braun. I think Braun wanted to get a man on the moon. Musk wants to colonize Mars. Zuckerberg wants to grow Meta. According to Wikipedia, Meta operates Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, among other products and services.

If Mark Z were to give $450M right now to the Republican party, we could possibly talk about forgiveness. Then maybe we’ll talk.

There is also the Joe Rogan podcast admissions: you(Mark) was pressured by the Biden administration to cover vaccine misinformation and you could have at anytime pushed back with little to no reprecussions, and yet didn’t. This shows his character.

What does this mean? Bannon has the President’s ear. What can you do about it, but put goo-go-ly eyes on your post?

I thought Steven K Bannon looked tanned, but maybe that’s his high blood pressure.

At least he admitted to it.

I think [Bannon] is jealous of Musk, who has taken his spot as court jester.

* * * *

Agree, though I think “court jester” is a bit over top. Certainly, Musk rose to become a key Trump advisor and ally when Bannon was in jail.

When Bannon came out of jail, maybe he was expecting Trump to reward Bannon with more influence in President Trump, Act 2. But that didn’t happen.

And if Musk/Vivek’s DOGE program is a winner, that’s an enduring Trump legacy that Bannon or any MAGA champion should be proud of.

Look at how by sending a couple of tweets, Musk set off political turmoil for the Starmer regime in the UK.

I like what I’m seeing so far. With the huge November election win, MAGA is becoming mainstream. Maybe Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Megan Kelly, etc. are inching in on Bannon’s MAGA television/Youtube audience.

Let’s see how it all shakes out in the next few months.

“Better on the inside of the tent pissing out than outside pissing in.”

Steve Bannon is inside the Trump tent. Pissing out and sometimes pissing in. He spent 4 months in the Federales prison for this privilege.
