Much better games today ... I’m glad for my Eagles but couldn’t watch the 2nd half (too nervous) — I just peeked in at the score from time to time. I get why Saquon slid at the end... smart move to cement the win, but you know there were a lot of “easy bets” that lost money there. Although, the one Packer defender was gaining on him, so it wasn’t a sure thing.

The two “doink” field goal tries (one no good, one good) — crazy!!

Hope the Monday Night game is good ... but is it wrong to hope LA loses so I don’t have to hear all the “rising from the ashes” hype ... kinda pissed at all the “silent reflection” and Red Cross pushing for CA ... don’t recall that happening for Hurricane Helene and the affected states (maybe I missed it?)

I'm not sure about Helene - I tend to watch just the Lions, and just on DRV speed-dial, so I miss a lot of falderal.

What ticks me off though: NFL is pushing “silent reflection”... but not prayers as well?

You missed it.

There was plenty overall notice of the Helene disaster…I noted it was mostly about liberal Asheville and that vicinity in the Appalachians. Definitely devastated, but a few weeks after the storm Florida never seemed to be mentioned again.

Anyway, maybe not all on NFL, but definitely got an earful from FOX, and lots of ads from charities, etc.

thanks for clarifying — my typical watch behavior is to ignore or mute everything but the actual gameplay. (nix on pundits, sideline chicks, commercials, half-time “entertainment, etc.)
