Quinshon Judkins ran for two touchdowns before Jack Sawyer forced a fumble by his former roommate that he returned 83 yards for a score with 2:13 left as Ohio State beat Texas 28-14 in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night to advance to a shot for their sixth national title.
The Buckeyes (13-2) got the semifinal victory in the same stadium where 10 years ago they were champions in the debut of the College Football Playoff as a four-team format. Now they have the opportunity to be the winner again in the debut of the expanded 12-team field.

Right. OSU is 17-7 against that team up north since 2000. Who owns whom? Go Blow! OH-

I watched the ball hit the ground first before it was “scooped up” by Ohio State after the Texas QB was hit and knocked to the ground. Please explain that one to me. Was it because the QB hadn’t actually thrown it yet? I’m a woman BTW so go easy please.

I’m an OSU fan. But Day has tried my patience. A national title would go a long way toward easing the pain of 4 straight losses to that team up north. The Buckeyes will have to play very well against a very hungry ND.

Ewers is the Dak Prescott of college football. He is a better quarterback than many others but not elite and never will be.

Please explain that one to me.
It was ruled a fumble...the ball was out of the qb’s hand before he hit the ground.

If the QB's arm is moving forward and he is tackled and loses control of the ball and no one catches it before it hits the ground, it's an incomplete pass. If the players arm is going back or stationary and he gets hit and loses control of the ball, it's a fumble.
Sometimes it's a tough call. Even a slight amount of forward movement with the ball in hand prior to losing the ball is considered an attempted pass, especially if the ball falls forward.
It seemeth a silly sport...Except at this level, millions of dollars are at stake.

Ewers was not bad at all- his offensive line was terrible. The right tackle Cam Williams, who some claim is a 1st round pick, is awful.

Except for the fact that OSU has been the best goal line defense in the nation. They stopped Penn State cold on four downs inside the two and stopped Michigan as well

Yup- and go pummeled because of UT’s overrated offensive tackles.

The offensive play calling by Kelly has also improved- the game plan against Michigan, which was pretty much the same against Nebraska- a game they had to squeak out- was awful.
Howard has also played well- though he makes a LOT of dangerous passes.
And Treyvon Henderson is the key. Pushed aside because of Judkins- who is good- but such a multi-versatile, talented back.
