Quinshon Judkins ran for two touchdowns before Jack Sawyer forced a fumble by his former roommate that he returned 83 yards for a score with 2:13 left as Ohio State beat Texas 28-14 in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night to advance to a shot for their sixth national title.
The Buckeyes (13-2) got the semifinal victory in the same stadium where 10 years ago they were champions in the debut of the College Football Playoff as a four-team format. Now they have the opportunity to be the winner again in the debut of the expanded 12-team field.

Ewers was as bad as Allar. He should have been pulled for Manning.
Texas had the momentum for most of the game imho. That thing turned on a dime.
I O
Yup, they were about to tie it up at 21... then it fell apart...
That second down call by Texas at the goal line was a horrible play call.

Yep, right there, I thought they’ve just lost the game.
He threw for 283 yards and 2 TD’s.
Ws against Oregon and Texas. Man, what a gauntlet.
I-O!
Should have put Arch Manning in.
Still think Manning would have done better. And I think if Texas didn’t score before halftime, he might have made the move.
Texas had a chance.
Run up the middle until you get there or a reverse bootleg on that second down pitch = 6 points with a QB run. Was wide open. Pitch was anticipated (good job defensive coaches) and stopped for a loss. Killed them.
Ohio State didn’t play its best game but was good enough to pull it off. Congrats.
NIL = no more SEC dominance.
NIL, COVID, 6 year redshirt seniors, and unlimited transfer portal has turned “student athletes” into underpaid professional athletes.
May the team with the best transfers and best NIL deals win.
Now finish the job! I hate Notre Dame.
Not an easy path to Atlanta to be sure...
Matthew McConaughey can only carry you so far.
I-O!!
What a last 3 games!
I credit D.C. Jim Knowles. After the Michigan loss Day had no choice but to give him Full control of the Defense as opposed to fighting Line coach Larry Johnston.
Day let go on for years.
Great work buy the Buckeye D.👍
Manning could’ve thrown a hail mary that made it to the end zone at end of first half.
