Actor James Woods returned with wife Sara to the couple’s fire-ravaged Pacific Palisades neighborhood on Friday, discovering that their home survived the massive fire that started Tuesday and destroyed many of the homes, businesses, and schools in the Los Angeles suburb, including the homes of their neighbors. Like many people who fled their homes during the flash fire, Woods assumed his home was destroyed, given that large flames were literally at his backyard.

Well, I also wouldn’t build on a hill in the middle of a semiarid region with lots of brush about - fires love moving uphill.
I live near San Antonio - I see all the big houses on tops of the hills to the north and northwest of town and think: you better have a plan.
Landslides, Earthquakes, Riots and Looter Gangs too! California is such a charming place now!
Along with that of Diane Warren.
That is great for Mr. Woods! I felt bad for him when he was talking about his home a few days ago.
I can’t imagine you’d find much comfort or joy in your surviving home when you are looking out in all directions at a horrible moonscape. Sitting on your deck by your pool just won’t be the same. The stench of the fire will remain for a long time as will the bad memories. I expect a lot of “survivor’s guilt” among those whose property did not burn.
BIG Smile on my face right now!
He, James Woods, was on an American Airlines flight from Boston to Los Angeles before the September 11th attacks.
Muhammad Atta and his fellow terrorists were doing a “dry run”.
James Woods got a terrorist vibe from Atta and his group, and he reported them to the authorities.
Nothing was done by the powers that be.
I was wondering when someone was going to post that about Woods. That’s how I remember it.
I hope the new evac order in Palisades isn’t anywhere near James Wood’s place
- Brentwood, Encino evac-Mandeville Canyon to 405, Encino Reservoir to Brentwood
8 aircraft conducting water drops
Great news I hope there’s not too much smoke damage etc.
The way they slavishly vote democrat, it seems like the karma is on the other side.
Of course not, they would much rather sacrifice thousands, instead of being called racists. S/
Speaking of that, I remember reading, where some airline employee saw the hijackers, and thought they were acting strange, but he did not report them, cuz he didn’t want to be called a racist.
He is as you say. It’s a miracle for him.
Thank the Lord.
From wiki..
“In 2018, Woods turned his Twitter feed into a bulletin board for missing California wildfires’ evacuees, and was credited with saving lives and helping to reunite missing loved ones and pets with their families. He provided aid to actresses Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano, with the latter thanking him for his help saving her horses.”
Same thing happened with human turdball Keith Obergruppenfuhrermann.
I'm happy for him that his house survived.
But...
If his whole neighborhood is devastated, are the power lines functional? Are the water mains functional? Are the gas mains functional?
He may have his house, but if the electrical grid is down how long will it take LA to get basic services restored to just one home in a destroyed area? When will postal services return to his home?
