From Taylor Swift to Nicole Kidman, many high-profile female celebrities earn more than their partners.

Their partners - Travis Kelce and Keith Urban - seem fairly happy with their setups, but a new study has warned that the same isn't true across the board.

If you truly want a happy life, scientists from the University of Durham say it's better for the male partner to be the higher earner.

The team focused on heterosexual couples in Sweden, who married in 2021 and had an average age of 37.

These couples were observed over a 10-year period or until they divorced - a scenario which occurred in around 20 per cent of couples surveyed.

My wife is much better at working than I am. I’m retired, she’s still got a few years to go, she landed a great 6 figure career 17 years ago and I sold a successful business a few years back. We’re a team, we work for the advancement of both of us.

Now, I take care of the home, I cook, clean and do the laundry. I maintain the home, I take care of her and thru her work she cares for me. We love each other, we laugh a lot and we stay out of trouble, yes we are a pair of those evil white people that society hateS. 😜🔥💯

The problem is not men being unhappy their wives earn more. The problem is women are unhappy when they earn more and in fact will not date men who earn less than they do....leading to many high achieving women being childless, single and unhappy. Men have utterly no problem marrying a woman who earns less than they do but its a very big deal for women.

Women wants to mate with a "strong" guy. So he has to make more $$$ than her.

There are exceptions to every rule, of course.

But 90% of the time, she won't be happy with you if she makes more money than you. She'll think you're a loser.

I was married and had a decent salary, and a wife who made a little more. She divorced me for a richer guy and took the house with her and I then had very little money. Now, years later, I have no wife, toys aplenty, freedom, younger chicks, and more wealth than required for a very comfortable retirement.

It's a good arrangement.
