An Arizona tattoo artist has been slammed after inking a nine-year-old girl who asked for a portrait of Donald Trump on her neck.
An artist at the Black Onyx Empire Tattoo shop in Yuma shared on his Instagram that the girl had traveled to Arizona with her parents to get the ink of the president-elect.
But the artist, who shared video of the inking process, said he convinced her to do a 'more patriotic tattoo' instead - of a US flag on her arm, as first reported by Arizona's Family.
'Told her in a year if she still wanted the trump then to get it but to think on it,' the artist, who goes by cutzsosa, wrote on Instagram.
'Client came back one year later saying “I'm 10 now can you touch up the red?"'
'She also changed her mind on the Trump portrait one year later,' the artist added.
The girl apparently traveled to Arizona for the tattoo, as the state allows kids to ink themselves if they have parental permission.
The artist said he even 'tried to scare' the girl's parents away by pricing the ink at $500 even though the tattoo was worth $80.
'But they jumped on that price instead…. I tried,' the artist said.
Video of the girl getting the tattoo shows her calming sitting as the artist works on the US flag on her arm.
The story has sparked a debate online about whether children should be allowed to get tattoos - and if artists should decline their requests, even if it's not illegal.

If she had her parents permission then why is this not okay?
Kids every day get abortions and sex change operations without their parents permission.
So a 9 year old can get a tattoo of Trump anywhere on her body!
Nope, nine year old girls don’t get tattoos. Period!
By the time she’s 50 the tattoo will be on her ankle.
“By the time she’s 50 the tattoo will be on her ankle.”
And that disgusting green that looks like the biild up on old car battery terminals.
The left is just mad that they didn’t get ahold of her first to cut her breasts off, cut her uterus and overlies out, and pump her full of testosterone.
But they jumped on that price instead…. I tried,’ the artist said.
No, you didn’t try.
THIS is trying: GTF out of here!
Deranged.
At least the artist talked her out of it, and she settled on a US Flag on her arm vs Trump on her neck. Still stupid at her age. Her parents, MAGA or not, are idiots, and I won’t be surprised if she becomes a disaster as a teen and young adult.
I'd be willing to bet there are people who went bananas over this little girl getting a Trump tattoo, but they are perfectly fine with a child the same age having genital mutilation surgery.
BTW, a child that age should not be able to get a tattoo.
Exactly.
Off with her breasts
?

exactly.
She certainly can get one.
It certainly is very dumb for the parents to allow it.
the saddest part is that the conservative FR community will stand up wholeheartedly against tattoos of President Donald J Trump on a 9 year old girl while giving tacit approval for genital mutilation of those same 9 y.o.’s by doing virtually NOTHING of any consequence to stop it because “not my problem”. the only humans who suck more than liberal activists are do-nothing conservatives. that is a fact.
no child should be able to get a tattoo period.
Tattoos are permanent reminders of temporary insanity. But I like them because it makes it much easier to know who to avoid, since they mark themselves.
Yeah transing the kids behind parents back is ok for libs, but no tattoos. Or tanning beds.
“If she had her parents permission then why is this not okay?”
Tattoos are where the Left draws the line at protecting kids, as tattoos are FAR MORE SERIOUS than abortions or sick moms getting the dicks cut off their kids.
At least in their warped minds.
Tatoos on girls are gross!
Totally illegal to tattoo a girl younger than 14 in Arizona. I suspect charges will be coming against the artist and parents.
