The FBI has remained silent on whether it will fire or discipline the agent who initially told the media and public that the shocking New Year's Day attack in New Orleans was "not a terrorist event," before the agency quickly backtracked and reported the attack was in fact under investigation as a terror incident.
Fox News Digital reached out to the FBI's press office and press secretary on Thursday and Friday, inquiring whether New Orleans field office FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Alethea Duncan would face termination or disciplinary action over her initial claim the attack was not connected to terrorism, but did not receive replies. Fox Digital also called the FBI press office on Friday morning but could not leave a message regarding the inquiry as the voicemail box was full.
After chaos unfolded on Bourbon Street early Wednesday morning as New Year's revelers celebrated the holiday, Duncan spoke during a press conference, declaring the attack was not connected to terrorism.

Im old enough to recall when J Edgar would call an agent on the carpet for not wearing a white shirt and taking off his sport/suit coat even in the heat and heat of battle.
Promotion to 1 level below Wray.
I dunno...I saw that interview a couple of times and I give her the benefit of the doubt...that call has to come from higher ups. And the FBI never comes out of the gate calling anything a terrorist attack.
and she did say “...what it is right now is...
The fact that she hasn’t been fired\demoted already tells me she was speaking on orders from above.
She ned sum remedial Engish skool.
Her FBI managers must be fired as well, all the way up the chain.
Don’t think she was out there free balling it. She was told to say that. The only reason they changed it back was that the evidence was overwhelming and obvious...epsecially the perps name and the fact he had an isis flag proudly flying.
She was told to put the narrative out.
Find out who told her to, then track it from there.
Fire a black woman with a nose ring? You’re kidding, Right?
Do all FBI “special” agents have to wear jewelry hanging off their nose?
Everyone senior was out of the office and she was on duty, her bad luck.
“She MAY get reassigned to Minot, ND or Fairbanks.”
I spent time at Minot AFB, and My room mate was
from Fairbanks.
You are cruel. Blacks don’t do well in -40 degrees with a 60 mph wind.
Fire the idiot who made someone, who can’t speak English, a spokesperson.
Who does? No human being, regardless of race, is going to do well in that type of weather.
I only watched the presser on my phone, which is certainly less than optimal video clarity. Later, I read about the nose piercing. On a hunch googled her image to see for myself (again, on my phone). Most of the image results returned are rather large in pixels, however even coming in, I had to look through six images before I could see it. I’m assuming the first images were retouched to obscure it. More lying media shenanigans, like when they lighten skin tone to fit the lying narrative.
My two predictions;
1-She’ll face discipline for not conforming to dress code, for which she’ll sue, crying “racism” and win.
2- She’ll file a worker’s compensation claim, claiming she fell into a tackle box on the job and receive compensation for rest of her life as “disabled”.
Not until Kash takes over.
She could barely speak English as she Aksed us to ‘pacifically’ avoid the area. She finna get a promotion in the coming few days.
And it/she/they/her can carry a gun anywhere it/she/they/her wants.
I worked on a flight line for an entire winter in it.
I kept nuclear armed B-52’s and KC135’s amongst others ready at 5 minute notice.
I worked Grave shift mostly.
Most people don’t realize what our military has to function in
Why would she be fired or punished in any way for saying what they ALWAYS say?
Unless she was the AIC (possible, considering DIE), her AIC told her to make the statement.
Those are facts I’d like to know...
