In ancient times (~30 years ago), people stayed home with colds and viruses because they knew there wasn’t anything to be done at the doctor’s office that you couldn’t do at home. We treated the symptoms, stayed home from work or school, and only sought medical care for severe symptoms. Schools let you back in with a note from Mom, and work didn’t require a doctor’s note, you just took a sick day or two.
Now, people clog up the ER and urgent care “to find out” if it is the flu/covid, for decongestants, notes for work and school, and to try to get antibiotics that have no effect except on the doctor’s satisfaction score. Everybody is tested, so the incidences of RSV and Covid and Flu are of great concern because we have names for them. Nevermind that most people would have completely recovered from all off those with just a couple of days of rest and chicken soup.
Drama, drama, drama.

You are wrong in my case. Before I knew I had Covid I thought it might be a bacterial infection.
So I decided to take Doxy. The reason I have a script was to experiment on how it might help my MMP problem.
There is absolutely no doubt that it helped me. Why it helped me is unclear. I suspect that anti inflammatory effect
